I have searched the board for some idea of what oil filter to use. Can anyone tell me what type of filter I should be looking for and where to get it?

I want to change the oil before too much longer, The dealer is 3 hours away. If I can get a filter or cartridge, I can take care of this detail.

Also, if the oil is changed but not by a dealer, how does the computer get re-set?

If you have the OEM part number, I'm sure you can ask Fram to see what filter they make will fit.

I couldn't find one listed for a K&N filter when I first bought my Land Rover, but I just send them the OEM information and they told me exactly what to use. I'm pretty sure Fram will work the same way.
