Mini Inspection/Oil Change Service

I am going for my second service tomorrow. My '03 mini has almost 25,000 miles on her. What can I expect when I go tomorrow? I was under the impression everything will be covered by warranty, is this right?

I am reading that a battery only has a 1 year warranty, and mine has serious issues. I reported them at my first service a year ago,and they evidently thought that software updates would do the trick, but it has only gotten worse! Will they take care of the cost of this? If I have to pay for it, how much do you think it will cost me?

2nd service

I dropped my 02 off for 2nd service today and I asked the dealer the same question.
He said it depends on what the computer says needs done, so I guess it is different according to the "smart chip"
I personally thought that was a lame excuse.
I am a caar guy and do most work on my own cars and deserve a strait answer which I did not get.
I'll let you know what they do when i get the car back tonite or tommorow.
p.s My dealer abviously sucks.

poop

I don't really know what they did. He was totally vague even when pressed.
He said when I picked it up that "they did all the fluids etc" and when I asked if that meant that transmission fluid was swapped out he said no. when pressed more basically all they did was oil change and windshield washer (that is the fluids he was talking about).
Today I swapped my air filter for a Cold air intake system and found that the air filter wasn't even changed and man was there alot of garbage in there. I know I onlyt have 2400 miles on it but the car is an '02 meaning that it has been on the road for 3 years. you have to change the filter and plugs after this long.
All in all I have to say the mini's no maintanance plan is total sales crap.
10000 and 24000 miles is to long for oil change as far as I am concerned, and 3 years and no plugs or air filter??? even K&N says recharge every year.
I can change my wiper fluid myself without giving up the car for 2 days.
I'm gonna change my oil every 5000, I'm gonna change my own plugs and I will have my local bmw/mini guy do the radiator flush and transmission flush.
My dealer gets a 2 out of 5
Mini gets a 1 out of 5

I want my car to last along time and service needs to be addressed.

sorry to rant
