Belt tensioner tool for MC?

Ok, people need a tool (11 8 410) pulley changes for the MCS frequently, but I
understand the MC uses a different tool (11 8 390).
Do you think it's a good idea to consider having one on hand in case your belt
snaps (as well as a spare belt) ... especially if your dealer is in another state?
If so, who, (other than Mini parts dept.) sells them, and are they as flimsy
as the MCS ones are said to be?
