Offline | Mother's: 'Back to Black' Comments Hello Everyone, Saw this in the auto store the other day when I was picking up a set of car ramps. It is in a little red plastic container, claims to bring everything back to its original color... Anyone use it? Any good? I need to get online and order the good stuff instead of choosing items that are on the shelf.... ![]() |

Offline | It depends on what you want it to do. It will add a deeper luster to the black bits, and that is a good thing. On the other hand, if you've gotten a little wax onto the trim, then all B2B will do is cover it up for a week or so. After that, it will be as white as ever. Peanut oil, or peanut butter, are the things to use to get wax off of vinyl part. They leave a shine too, but I 'spect the luster imparted by B2B is nicer looking. 04 BRG/W MCS |

Offline | That's my experience with it, too. It looks great for a week or so after you apply it, then it's gone. I have switched to 303 Aerospace Protectant, it has a good UV blocker to prevent deterioration to the rubber seals and vinyl trims, and it lasts much longer. Offline | My experience with that stuff is that the trim looks good for about a day at most, then it looks like it did before application or even sometimes worse. I haven't tried that other product listed above. |

Offline | I used it on my 23 year old DeLorean. The black plastic trim parts and louver were very faded to the point of being gray. To my surprise it worked great. They are now a nice looking black. However it doesn't even out fading, so for large surface areas I wouldn't fully recommend it. I can't say how long it lasts as I've only washed it once in the last 3 months (I applied it about 5 months ago). Also, it does change the look of other parts, so be sure to mask off the areas where you don't want it. I accidentally spilled some on the stainless steel and it looked terrible! Took me several washes of that area to get it off. |

Offline | I used Back To Black for years and was very happy with it. Now use the AutoGlym Bumper/ Plastic treatment gel. I would say both products are good, but the autoglym has a slight edge for removing marks. |
