Black Cooper Evil poo!

Can anyone tell me what the best way of getting bird muck of the convertible roof is please?

At the moment i am just using warm water.

Get an old rag and dip it in water. Then place it on the bird poo for as long as possible. Hopefully it will have dissolved the poo so that it's no longer hard and can't grip on the fabric.
