I have just carried out a non-scheduled 1,500 mile oil change on my 05 MOD. I tried to reset the service interval indicator by following the instructions in the FAQ & DIY section of the Forum. Alas, I can only assume that the software must have been modified as the procedure does not work on my 05 build Diesel.

I have the TLC package and pehaps I should not be resetting this anyway.

1) Should I be resetting the indicatorr?

2) How is this now done?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You shouldn't be resetting the service interval indicator after an unscheduled oil change.

Thanks for the confirmation.

I would have reset the mileage if I could have, but when I could'nt I started to read more on the Forum and I began to wonder if resetting was the right thing to be doing.

I will leave well alone!

This still leaves the question as to whether the software has changed in the 05 build MOD - Anyone?

My nearest MINI dealer is 210 miles away and can't see driving all that way just for an oil change. I can do it myself but need some step by step instructions on how to reset the oil interval counter on my 04 mini, Thanks.
