Olly the review was in Autoexpress - but who is to say the test wasn't commisioned by Turtle Wax in the first place - now that your love for megs has developed - may I point you in the direction of their #16 mirror glaze - a gem of a product on a well prepped balck MINI - try it after a coat of NXT or Gold Class for amazing results which last and last. Easier to use than NXT/GC too and only £12.99 for a tin that will last years!! Dingdangdoo!

Thanks Wul, I somehow knew you would know the answer. I'm not finding any of the usual places to buy Meg's that stock it. I had a look at http://www.seriousperformance.co.uk as they were reccomended on the Megs UK forums. They offer what looks like a similar product called - P21-S Concours Look Carnauba Paste Wax. Will this do the same thing and as well as the megs stuff?? Also whats your opinion on the detailing procedure i'm going to use... NXT Wash Clay bar Meg's 3 Stage Paint Cleaner Followed probably by the P21S if its any good That should use up a good day!! Olly

olly - it was seriousperformance I got my #16 from - email alex direct and ask if he has it in stock - he usually does - KenL swears by the P21S wax too - both very similar products ![]() Your regime sounds good - are you defo going to use the stage 3 wax? you probably could skip this and go straight to #16 or P21S - and the good thing is these are layerable so you can keep applying them over and over (leave a few days between each coat though) Dingdangdoo!

Yeah I printed off the Seriousperformance price list and noticed it on there. It seems to get better reviews on Autopia, so i'll go with meguiars. I was thinking about dropping stage 3 and switching it to a NXT Wax. I've read somewhere that putting NXT on first seems to put a seal on it before you put the #16 on. Been reading far too much on Autopia

Before i start id like 2 say that i don't work or have anything 2 do with Turtle Wax (HONEST).But iv tried every Wax on the market and can HONESTLY say that the Platinum series used with Turtle Wax Gloss Guard works a treat and most importantly lasts were other brands lose there protection.Excellent value 2

Just put the order in to www.seriousperformance.co.uk and over £70 later I should have a nice shiny MINI

Well...... 1 Clay Bar (still have the spray left over from the orignal pack I bought) 1 Chamois 4 Terry Cloth Polishing Pads 1 Megs Hot Rims Wheels Cleans 1 Trim Detailer 1 Interior Cleaner 1 NXT Car Wash 1 #16 Paste Wax Not a great deal there I guess but I already have the 3 stage paint cleaner that i'm gonna try I nearly got the P21S but after reading the Autopia forums it seems as though the Megs #16 gives a longer lasting finish where as the P21S is more for show cars. I'll report back on how well it works, and how long it takes to do Olly

| Ermm well Auto express always test products bought over the counter or supplied by retailers such as halfords rather than samples supplied by manufacturers, this is designed to ensure no doctoring takes place . I think you can rely on the independance and integrity of tests , the tests are not commisioned by manufacturers but by staffers on the magazine . You are right about some of the meguires products though some are very good indeed |I love the NXT range personally ! SHES SCARY ! |

Turtle Wax Gloss Guard Hi Just waxed my car for the first time using the new Turtle wax Gloss Guard It has the consistency of water, but it works extremely well, giving a very deep shine. The most important thing with this product is that if you get it on the plastic wheel arches, sills and bumper trims, it does not leave a horrible white mess. It seems only to darken the area slightly, which is easily removed with one wipe of a cloth and does not stain. Even more importantly is that it only took less than 30 minutes to wax the whole of my Cooper from start to finish. P.S. Does anyone else alo clean the inside of their wheel arches as well as me, so the car always looks as if it has just been picked up from the dealers for the first time Splashed100
