Offline | You did not say what part of the interior got hit (carpet or seats or both) Maybe too late now, but I would keep saturating the area of the upholstery iwith a spray bottle of dilute soapy water or even Fantastik (test colorfastness in a nonvisibile area first) and vacuuming it out throughly with a wet/dry shop vac. This worked on my 87 Toyota Camry after my 8 yr. old son did something similar to the suede-like upholstery backside of the front passenger seat. You may need to saturate the area, rub it in, then vacuum the water out 20-30 cycles before all the offending material is removed. I did this immediately after it happened and once the area was completely dry, there was no smell at all. Good luck. miniyup Built 11 Apr & delivered 23 May: 03 MCS EB/W w/ wide stripe F&R, all 3 Pkgs (except wheels - 16" v-spoke), Lapis, Anthracite |

Offline | You might try Woolite OxyDeep spot & stain carpet cleaner. It works great on carpet, leaves a fresh scent. Not sure about other surfaces--test in an obscure place first. Jim 2005 MCS |

Offline | Since my wife and I rescue abused golden retrievers, we have a lot of experience with puppy vomit and other malodorous accidents. First and foremost, get it all out of the carpet and make sure none went into the plastic covers for things like seat belts and seat tracks. We use just plain old Windex for the actual cleaning, but our secret weapon (even works on skunk odor) is... Massengill douche! We figured if it could get rid of, er, feminine hygiene odors -- it would work on pretty much everything. The only part about that suggestion I can't come to grips with is the look on the face of the store clerk when I put a case of douche on the counter! Pete |
