Been thinking of trying this too, as the water here isn't good for cars (can't be much good for drinking either I guess?!).

I tried this on my Mum & Dad's car, didn't do a bad job but i'm sceptical......

The Shampoo doesn't foam up very well and does it strip all the wax off the car??

Also it destoyed the sponge I used, it turned it jet black (Lucky I didn't use the wash mitt I use for the MINI )

Good for a quick wash but I won't be using it on the MINI, i'll stick to the meguiars and chamois

Like some others have said, I'd only be interested really for the rinsing part.

Yes it may turn out to be a bit pricey to run in the summer but in the winter will you use
a chamois and get frostbite on your hands or buy another filter .

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help

I saw it mentioned in the Sunday Times the other day.I would buy only if I could use my Zymol products through it as the drying function and spotless water are two great features. However, those functions will not be put to use unless one uses the Flash cleaning stuff,I believe.

"Officially" you should only use flash shampoo but as long as the shampoo isn't really thick I can't see a problem with using other makes.. The flash liquid and autoglym look to be pretty much the same thickness.

After my first use i'd say it's excellent and surpassed my expectations. No water marks - probebly the best cleaning job i've done and in an hours less time than normal!

I maybe wrong but i thought that there was something in their "special" shampoo that reacts with the Autodry filtered water to make the water sheet off

Question

Could be - i'm not sure.. Doesn't seem to mention that the shampoo has anything in it as it's the filtered water that makes it dry without marks.. ?

The shampoo is just like the Meguiars Next generation shampoo, its got special polymers in the shampoo that make the water sheet off. The problem with my washing is the amount of chalk in my water that stains my car if it drys on it. The filtered water will work perfectly with my Meguiars shampoo. I really want one! Not going to bother at all with the refills of the shampoo. I'll use my good meguiars stuff!

Anyone even remotely considering this......you HAVE to get one!! I used it today and am shocked to say it does exactly waht it says on the tin (box!)

Washed the car, rinsed etc (as per instructions) and walked away. Car was still covered in tons of (beaded) water....i wrongly assumed all the water would sheet off....but panic not! 15/20 minutes later the water had mostly evaporated and left behind not one single spot, fantastic!

Buy one, you'll not regret it.

My friend was actually demonstrating these at the Excel Autoshow about 6 weeks ago. He had to do it non-stop, 6hrs a day, for about 1 month. Involved spraying a "dirt" solution at the car, and then washing it off. Apparently, washing a (saloon) car takes 10-15 minutes, tops. MINI should be more like 8-10mins.

He says it is worth getting, and I for one believe him as he has had the most practice of almost anyone!!!!

Havent tried it myself, though.
