Yea but my last car was black (Saxo VTS ) and had no problems with cleaning it - tha was partly why I chose black for the MINI - thought it would be okay still it is now (just had a year of extra work before finding this system )

Well I was bored yesterday and washed mine....but the washer or something in the green bit that connects to the hose pipe connector must have broken (only used it once before and always gently laid it down on the ground so it wasnt it being dropped that did it), so water was leaking out...and soaking me
So took it back to Halfords at Christchurch, at the guys just said "Ok! Want a replacement one?" Sorted!

The guy who gave it back said that they sell between 20-30 a WEEK...thats like 600 quid on ONE product! Sheesh! And he said it was the first one that had been returned...so pretty cool product!

Can't wait to use it again before Poole Quay!

Think sales will pick up in the Summer coz of the hot weather leaving water streaks on the car, and people going out and getting it coz of the streak free finish......

Who ever invented it must have got a BIG fat ass bonus for it! Very classy!

Woah woah woah egg head!

Are you meaning all that Dasani out the back in our garage would do exactly the same as the filtered water and leave a streak free finish if I use the shampoo as well?

Do a search in the forums for the Mr. Clean product, you will find all the feedback you need!

Maybe because it's the re-branded product?

It's good for filtering the water to reduce water spots. Otherwise, invest the £20 in a new bucket, sponge and a bottle of Zymol Autowash.

I bought one, they are good, but I had a few problems with mine. Firstly it didn't quite fit properly onto my hose, so I was totally soaked by the end, this probably didn't help matters. Also hose + sponge isn't the way I clean a car, and it still had some dirty spots at the end. The windows didn't look good at all, but the paintwork that had been done properly (90%) did come out looking really smooth.

I guess it's just a matter of fine tuning the process. I'm going to try the flash shampoo in my big car scrubbing brush 'thingy' and then rinse off with the flash 'thingy', think that'll improve my results. Reading the above though I might take it back if it doesn't fit right again...

The green connector bit needs to be tightly screwed into the gun - there's a wee silver crud filter in it - also got soaked at the weekend as this had worked loose .. worth checking

Also, best not to lie it on its side with xs shampoo in as it leaks outta the hole where the shampers goes in ... hope this helps

Happy Flashing ;}

No, Dansani is de-ionised water. The Flash cleaner filters impurities out.... If the Dansani is filtered as well as de-ionised then it would work. I dunno if it is filtered though. And you wouldnt have to use the soap... the soap just speeds up the drying, it doesn't increase the unstreakiness (I know that's not a word).

And I'm not an egg head... I just pay attention to things when I read them!

Just speeds up the drying?! Well in that case, when the shampoo is all used up, back to Auto Glym then!

Scotland Flash car wash system..

Hi everyone,

Has anybody tried the new Flash Car wash system yet, the one that dries (I think) the car as well? Thinking of buying one but just wondered if anyone here has used/purchased it and what results they have had with it on their mini.

Ta very much

Mary

Flash car wash system

Hi

Has anyone tried/purchased one of these yet? What results have you got with your mini?

Opinions would be great as I am thinking of buying one for my new pepper white baby.

Thanks

It doesn't dry the car as such, what makes it worthwhile is that it removes the impurities from the water so when it evaporates it leaves no residue.

Rob
