Clay Bar

Just tested Meguairs clay bar on my solid black mini.

Seems to have left a residue that I can't get rid off.

Have I pressed too hard? not enough? any ideas?

You did wash the car after right? And is this residue still there after the wash?

You can use too little lubricant and mar the paint but that isn't easy to do

Whilst using the Meguiar's clay bar,did you use the Meguiar's Quik Detailer on the surface every now and again? If you did that as well as when you finished doing the job (for example, removing tar or bug from the painted surface)there should have been no residue at all.You can rinse with water later on, if you prefer.I never have any problem with the clay residue.

Just finished trying the clay bar myself, and didn't have an issue. I just made sure I used the spray enough and not let the detailer dry on its own. I then waxed the car with NXT wax.

Have to say that I am really pleased with the results, and doesn't that detailer smell great!?

I got mine from Halfords as some stores are beginnng to stock Meguiars now.

Comes with the detailing spray and the clay. Just a bag or something is needed to put the clay in after it's been opened.
