Removing Water (not wax) Stains From Black Trim?

Looking to get some feedback on what M2 readers use to remove those nasty water stains on the black plastic trim where the A-pillar drains down thru the door and across the black trim. I've tried QD, Vinylex, etc but the stains seem too imbedded. help! TIA, Jimbo

Water shouldn't stain, chances are it is something that was dried inside your door (dirt, pollen, wax) and carried there.
You should try to clean it off--use a good grease-removing cleaner like dish soap.

Most of the vinyl trim protectants require several coats in order to deter water spotting. I use "One Grand" protectant, it takes about 3 good coats over a week or so to perform at it's best.

And, you usually have to keep reapplying it periodically. Easy to apply, worth the effort.

Good luck!
