| WD40 left to soak does quite a good job of breaking them down...but then you need to get rid of the wd40...it mixes with screen wash to make an almost milky solution so a good clean is necessary afterwards. There are also bug/tar removers which have an effect. Elbow grease with a soft cloth and a fingernail behind it seems to be the only way.where i have to park at work is a losing battle with my current car...in this weather the drips are solid by the time i get back to it...the new one is going to be covered at work...which is a nause. |

You should... ...remove the majority with the 70% rubbing alchohol (jut removes the sap and surface wax) and then get the remainder with the clay... That should get it. Rewax the area afterwards first with a cleaner wax... and finish with Carnauba... Clay will scratch your finish if you neglect to use an emolient solution to irrigate the area you are working on. PS... Short of actually buying a chainsaw... get a fitted all-weather car cover for the car ! It is not how fast you go, but how you go. |
