| Ramblin Man | FIrst wax - zymol HD-Cleanse and/or clay bar? Quick question - do you think it's necessary to clay bar in addition to using zymol HD-Cleanse? I currently have one bottle of HD-Cleanse and don't feel really comfortable using a clay bar on my 2 month old MINI. I don have a few water marks on the hood but other than that, the body still feels some what smooth. From what I've found, the HD-Cleanse seems to be clay like in that it removes surface impurities. I'd really appreciate any input!! Thanks. "So," I said after I'd had enough, "you've ruined it". ![]() MINI2 Senior | i just used the HD Cleanse and the wax and then washed and waxed with no HD Cleanse the week after. the car is 10 weeks old and I wash it ever week but dont wax or hd cleanse and it still gleams. but my car was only 1week old when i did this. so i would suggest that you hd cleanse the car and run your fingrer over the paint work, it should feel like glass(very smooth no bits or grime) if it does not then you could use the hd cleanse again you shoudent realy need to use the clay on such a new car unless its been parked under trees or been exposed to other extreamaties ps use a microfiber cloth they are brill ![]() ![]() |

| Diesel Powered | Since your car is so new just stick to the HD cleanse for now, you'll only need Lehm Clay (and the lubricant) if you start getting stuff on your car that HD cleanse won't shift. I only use Lehm clay on the tailgate after winter and on the roof and bonnet if I've been parked under a tree on a summer's day. If you do decide to use the clay, use HD cleanse afterwards anyway. ![]() |
