Offline | Scheduled MINI service I'm close to 30,000 miles on the clock, and still waiting for the miles-until-service number to drop down enough that I can take the car in for the 25,000 service. I drove over 100 miles over the weekend, and the number didn't change! I suppose I'll have to drive the car a lot harder, if I'm going to have that 25,000 miler before I hit 50,000 miles . . . Offline | If the miles-until-service indicator ran down at the same rate that the odo runs up, then they'd both hit 25k at the same time. Obviously, there's some factor that's multiplied in to take driving habits into account, delaying servicing for those cars driven by old ladies. ![]() "I'll shoot for the queen, and you for, well, whomever." |

Offline | double To get a quick idea of when your next service is need just double the miles you had your first service done. That should give you and idea of when you next service is due especially since it is based on how you drive your car |

Offline | Your method of calculation doesn't add up with my One. I've just had the first service done - under 10K and the indicator now shows next service due at 15500 which is surprising. There again the car is 2 1/2 years old. morrisminiminor |

Offline | The first service at roughly 10K is basically an oil change service. Thereafter, the Inspection I and II services occur at roughly 15K intervals. My service interval counter showed 15500 after it was reset after the 10K oil service also. |

Offline | morrisminiminor, are you sure it says your service is due at 15500 and not in 15500 miles.I had both my current MINI ONE and its predecessor serviced at around 7500/8000 miles ![]() |

Offline | The service interval indicator COUNTS DOWN ... when it reaches ZERO it's time for service. The rate at which it counts down depends on how you drive your car and not on how many miles you drive. Driving in "stop and go traffic" or with a heavy foot will make it count down faster than cruising on the highway at a reasonable speed. |

Offline | I did a 1000 mile trip over the weekend (30mpg @ an average of about 70mph), and the service counter dropped 700 miles. I'm within the window for service (the dealer said it must be below 400 miles), so off I go. "I'll shoot for the queen, and you for, well, whomever." |

Offline | I was told mine had to be within 1000 miles to get it done. I have just had mine done at 925 left on the service indicator. For info, while I was there a woman came in concerned that her son's car had never been serviced - it ws over 2yrs old but had not reached it's service indicator value. She was told the car has to be service at least every two years or when the indicator is reached - whichever comes first. I am presuming your car has been serviced in the last 2 years? |

Offline | Yes, it's had the 10,000 mile service, and an oil change since then. I'm also getting a new steering wheel (cracked leather) and another adjustment to the hatch (rattling, again). Hopefully, the car is fully sorted for the long haul. "I'll shoot for the queen, and you for, well, whomever." |
