10:00am...More MINIs! Among them, a rare SG/B MINI arrived!

It was amazing to see what some people do to their poor MINIs!

A fat looking PS convertible and that weird blue MCS are proof of that!

It's 10:10am...the Rally was about to start!

During the Rally we visited the nearby (30 to 40 minutes drive) lake towns of Ajijic and Chapala. Both are located in Mexico's largest lake called "Chapala".

There are two pictures (taken from my car's sunroof) of the MINIs going thru another town (called Jocotepec), also by the lake. And the rest are at the check point in Ajijic.

You should see my arms and neck right know...I had a massive sunburnt!

But it was fun being there!

The rest of the pictures (and the ones on the next posts) were taken back at the MINI dealership when the Rally was over!

I was meaning to have my brother take more pictures during the Rally. But we were so distracted trying to figure out our way around, that we forgot all about it.

There were eleven places (check-points) that we had to visit, ranging from some local restaurants and all 3 BMW dealerships, to a Go-Kart track, where we had to park our MINIs and drive one lap in a real Go-Kart!

It was great!!!

Back at the MINI dealership. They were waiting for us with martinis, beers and sushi!

We were starving...we got there at 4:50pm!

These first photos are inside the dealership, with three brand new 2005 MINIs. They took all the BMWs out (except for a new 3-series)!

That BEP/W and my MINI were the only 2005 MINI Coopers that entered this Rally!

The checkered stripes on that CR/W MCS looked pretty cool!

Last, but not least...

..."Sunshine" (my MINI) parked outside! It behaved beautifully throughout the event!

Yes lots of LY. All looking great. Only one has no stripes though - who's is that one? (actually I know).

Hi stephenjc! You certainly know who that stripe-less LY/W MINI belongs to!

There were three all-white MINIs in the Rally! One of them belonged to the only female MINI-owner/driver in the event! It had a cool sticker that read "Girl Power!".

42 MINIs was a great turnout, being this the first ever MINI Rally in this city! However, they were expecting many more! Maybe next time they'll all show up!
