Yum, the Italian place sounds wonderful! I had looked at Outback, but the write up says the weekend wait can be over 2 hours! And they don't take reservations.

I've always liked Fuddruckers too. Have you tried Bill's Seafood on Warwick Blvd? It has a 4.5 star rating out of a possible 5 stars. The only drawback was that it said "fast food atmosphere." I didn't know if that meant served like Fuddruckers or McDonalds.

If you have the number for the Italian place, I'll call them and ask about reservations.

We're going to end up at the end of Colonial Parkway in Yorktown, very close to 17.

The Italian place with the private room is probably the best bet so far.

Well, so did the responses above. And I want to tell you that, as I listen to the Sundays' "Static & Silence" in anticipation of snowfall (just motored a last bit round the "neighborhood"), I have put together a plan to perhaps make it after all. I just need a hotel room saturday night and then I can go see my pa on Sunday and Monday. Maybe the old man will attend. He seemed to like the idea...

So off I go lookin for reasonable rates.... anything in mind?

Oh and refresh me please AW, what time does it kick off? Later the better- I work double shift friday night.

GMINI, it will be just great if you can swing it... Just did a quick search online, room rates were starting at about $45 for 2 per night. Not the Waldorf, but it is a place to put the head down.

Looking this up, I my just reconsider and stay overnight...

Getting lots of snow here, got about 24" and expect to receive at least another 12". Don't think I will be going into work until at least Wednesday or Thursday.

What is the snowfall projections for your part of Conn.????

I'm going to drive down Friday afternoon/evening - and stay over Saturday night. Made reservations at the Super 8 on Richmond Road - $49/nite w/ AAA rate.

The $29.99 rate was for 1 person, an extra person is $6 more, so that explains your rate MM. The only discount Motel 6 offers is for AARP, so join as soon as you can!

I feel so cheated! We only had rain, no snow at all. Then, I looked at Jason's snow video and feel even more cheated.

The surf is amazing though.
