Greetings. A group of Philadelphia/Greater Philadelphia Area Mini Owners are getting together this coming Sunday 3/16/03 at 9:00am at the Starbucks on Old York Road in Jenkintown (Montgomery County, across from the WaWa).

Jenkintown, PA 19046

We are going to share coffee and some mini talk. The weather should be the best we have had in a while. All are welcome to attend!

Yep, Old York road is considered to be Route 611 in that area.

Looks like there might be btw 4 and 7 of us there. This parking lot is going to be packed with people gacking at our Mini's!

Everyone is welcome to attend. Supposed to be in the mid 60's that day!

Pretty good turnout today! It was nice meeting you all and talking MINI for a while.

Beautiful weather today - I read 68 F on the OBC. On the way home, the motoring mode was sunroof open, windows down, tunes blaring. Here's some pics from the event:

Hey how about that turnout! We had 9 mini's (7 MCS' and 2 MC's) come out for the Starbucks Mini Meet held today. Not to shabby for less than 5 days notice!

We basically trickeled in and parked where we could. In retrospec it would of been wise to pic a larger parking lot to have this. As the other cars left we eventually got most of the mini's together for a "group shot" although there was no way we could line up the cars for anything picture worthy. The weather was gorgeous and everyone was in the mood for some coffee (and Krispie Creams!). You should of seen the traffic mess in the parking lot (that I am sure we added to). We all shared ideas about mod's and for future meets. Sounds like this Italian Job Movie Premier Meet could be quite huge.

A few Starbucks patrons came out to look and ask questions. There were even two people who stopped by who either have a mini on order or are seriously thinking about it. I think we might of swayed the last guy into finally placing his order

It was nice to finally meet some of you guys. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting all those out there that we have not yet encountered! Next time we have to also go out for a Rally Run

PS: After the meet my wife and I drove out to the Valley Forge National Park for some photos. The park was unusualy crowded because of the weekend/nice weather/Pro-USA troops rally. We were hoping to find a cannon close to the road for some pictures. No go. We were able to get close enough to the Memorial Arch though for some shots. These can be seen at the Link above.

Thanks for the great pics. It must have been fun checking out all the other Minis. I was miffed that I couldn't make it, but next time hope to. Tell me about the Italian Job Meet. PS If I had made it, there would have been two PW/B Coopers in the bunch.
