Thanks for the feedback Mike and Donna! It's a shame the kit costs so much

Anyone know whether the Mini is a killer for insurnace companies? I live in NJ and the rates are horrible. Just curious is this car is worth it or not. Thanks for the information.

Could you possibly list some of the "mods" you are talking about. I am new to the Mini world but I am curious about any upgrades that I can apply to the Mini that I will be purchasing this summer.

Thanks.

Craig,

Our insurance is USAA - about $700 a year for our MCS. We have a multiple car discount but - a few boo boo's that we still have points for

I hope that gives you some kind of idea

Thanks.

Well - things that come to mind are an upgraded exhaust. We have a Borla - others have done Magnaflow & assorted other brands. Also a different air intake system. We did the K&N Typhoon from Moss Mini There are also lots of threads about putting a different pully on - that is in the future for us

There are probably other things - go to the Performance/Mods section...that might help you out some.

Insurance

I pay about $800 a year for my MCS through Nationwide, multi-car discount, no points. The Cooper was slightly less - around $770 a year
