Ok, so I went to the drive in this last friday for the Mini gathering, unfortunately, it rained, and only two other minis showed... but it was still fun. I talked to the manager about the opening of the italian job, he would like to do an ALL Mini opening night, I told him it might be a little bit of a profit loss. So he is going to have a VIP section for all minis!! I want to get a rought estimate for him so he can prepare a suitable sized section, so here are the details I have, let me know if you are interested.

It will once again be a BENGIES drive in (check the other drive in thread for directions).
It will be on a Saturday night (no traffic! Woo-hoo!)
The exact date is still not certain, but it should be one or two weeks after the in theater opening.

Cant say yes id come or no.. have to get the date so i can submit for the day off. Sooner I get a date the better chance ill get. I can bring my own grill right?? Oh if Bill is coming paddy ill see if i can find him a date.. that is if im allowed to come =)

Good Idea

Depending on my work schedule I am very interested. I will need to plan for more time to drive up, and as long as they are doing work on 495 I will likely cut through town.

It would be great to see you Tony but....No grills at this place. They make their money off the food sales apparently. It is supposed to be a very friendly family type of place. I think you can arrange to bring your own food but they would charge you for the right

I talked with Bill earlier today and he said that if I was flying solo he would happy to be co-pilot. Now if he can n get a date, I will let him drive and I will ride in the back seat......

Ok, so far it looks like only a few people..

So let other Mini people you know in the area or on this site about the event, it will most likely be the second week of June.

i think this is a good idea, but you need to get this on the yahoo groups. that's where most people get their "event" info.
