Come join the fun! Let's make this a big, fun MINI gathering!

Celebrate the arrival of summer in Historic Bedford, PA. Downtown Bedford Inc. is sponsoring its 3rd Annual Downtown Beach Party complete with palm trees and live beach music performed by the band Kamp and Company. The shops and eateries downtown are offering special sales, refreshments, and fun.

New this year is a cruise-in by the PittStop Mini Club. Although the Pittstop MINI Club is being featured, we are inviting non-member MINIs from the Mid-Atlantic region to join us since it is in a relatively central location and it promises to be lots of fun! Your cars will be on display downtown (on Juliana Street) from 11am - 2pm. (Cars wanting to be on display should plan to arrive by 10am on Saturday 6/21.)

Everyone is asked to please dress "beachy" (but not necessarily speedos or bikinis ). The first 50 cars will receive a welcome bag of free goodies and coupons. (RSVPs are given first consideration.)

A special all inclusive overnight-stay package is also being offered by The Best Western and Clara's Place Restaurant (1.5 miles north of town). Package is based on double occupancy at $112.56. The package includes: overnight stay, dinner for 2, hot breakfast buffet for 2, and 2 tickets for Sunday at Old Bedford Village (featuring a Civil War reenactment at 12 noon).

For folks coming from Western PA, we will be meeting to form a MINI caravan in the Irwin Giant Eagle parking lot (1/2 mile west on Rt. 30 from the Irwin Turnpike Exit - Exit #7) at 7:30am - leaving at 8:00am sharp.

General directions: PA Turnpike Exit 11, turn right, 3 miles to downtown Bedford ....just off of Business Route 30.

Come on your own or organize a group of MINIs from your neighborhood to come together!

BTW, I am planning to take a trip to Gravity Hill in the afternoon after 2pm (when we can get our MINIs off of Juliana St.) I think it will also include a few covered bridges. Anyone else who's going to this cruise-in interested?
