| MINI2 Regular | Oh what a fun day was had by the Die-Hards!!! Ron, Vanessa, Care, John and I (and Taka, who showed up at 10AM all alone!) decided to brave the weather (which was uneventful bt 12PM) and enjoy the holiday festivities. We even got to some back roads for John to test his DSC!!! I've downloaded my PICs from the day's travels. www.clubphoto.com, then put in my entire email address (laughscott@aol.com) and look for the album called "An Unofficial Tour of Chester County"! Cheers, and glad everyone had a safe weekend! Scott Mid-Life Crisis never felt so good! |

| MINI2 Regular | Got my snow tyres on today so I will be there regardless! They are currently calling for flurries but I don't trust any forecast over a day in advance. It would be nice if there was a nice coating of snow on everything except the roads, that way everyone could enjoy the sights in the same stunning beauty as the 5 of us did a few weeks back. |

| MINI2 Regular | Dear Everyone, Well, since Joe McCormick from Otto's gave us SOOO much information, he thought it so important to send it twice!!! OK, now we are into the "who can write the longest email" contest!! I have quite a few thoughts to share with everyone (and a select number of photos)! So, sit back, get your coffee or tea, and enjoy the novella! First, I was thinking this morning, as I finally rolled downstairs to begin my Sunday, what a change in my life this little car has made, and the wonderful and extremely creative people that it has afforded me the pleasure to meet, in only 6 months! I have NEVER had this kind of "affair" with my car before! The MINI, and the enthusiasts has been the highlight of my year, and I so look forward to continuing to build lasting friendships with you all! So, on July 2nd, I get my little ZOE, and what has she done this year? 1) Bucks County Rally (PA) 2) Philly MINI Run (PA) 3) Cape May to Lewes Run (NJ/DE) 4) Philly to Provincetown ROME Rally (PA,NJ,NY,CT,RI,MA) 5) Route 125 Rally (PA) 6) Backroads & Battlefields Rally (MD,WV,VA) 7) Hampton, VA Bay Days Car Show (VA) 8) Tim's River Rally (MD) 9) Reservoir Dogs Rally (NY) 10) LAST BUT NOT LEAST - Deck the MINIs (ONE AND TWO!) Some people wonder when I've had time to make a living to pay for ZOE!!! It's been tough pulling myself away from ZOE, and forcing myself to work during the week! PS, the above doesn't include the BMW Bike Runs I also enjoyed throughout the summer and fall! I want to extend the warmest of thanks to EVERYONE that put together all the rallies that I have had the fortune of enjoying: Craig (Pocket_Rocket), Kim (HARMINI), Julie (PhillyMINI Godess!), Tiff & Peter (DEDGRL & ???, Peter, what's your handle), John & Leslie (and BabyBear), Aaron (ALCROWN), Sherry & Carl (AprilWhine & Cajun), Peter (Uptick) and Gene (GMINI03). I can't remember the organizer for Tim's River!! And, last but not least, the elves that helped pull together the final, and most festive event of the season: Julie & Ed, Joan & Charlie (our Deck the MINI Elves)!!! Now (No folks, I'm nowhere's near done!) on to my gratitude to a Dealership that takes Customer Service to a whole new level. I have NEVER experienced the level and commitment from a car dealership as I have from Otto's MINI. We have tried on numerous ocassions to actively engage MotML (and am still trying) and Princeton, but alas, they seem to be happy just selling cars. Otto's, well, you understand that selling the cars is just the start of a long-term relationship with your clients (and many that are NOT your clients), and your attitude, your sponsorship and your friendly persona is a wonderful addition to the PhillyMINI family! The year is drawing to a close, and what a wonderful way to end 2003 than with the Deck the MINIs Extravaganza! We didn't let a little winter weather delay stop us from being totally crazy, and enjoying the sights and backroads of Chester County! There are remarkably creative people out there, and that was purely evident during the decoration contest!!! I hope someone posts their pictures of the contest portion soon, as my camera died (no dead batteries, just totally died!) half-way through, and I have NO photos of the contest!! To everyone who decorated, your pride in your ride was evident! To our winners, well.... 3) Presents under the Tree! 2) The Nightmare before Christmas! 1) Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer! The winner custom cut and had sewn an entire reindeer outfit to snugly wrap their MINI!!! You all have made my year one of the most memorable in my life! I'm sure that 2004 will bring even more memories, and more opportunities for photos!!! Already, we have the following on the books: 1) PhillyMINI Skating Party! 2) Member's Dinner! 3) Reservoir Dogs Run - II! 4) PhillyMINI Egg-Stravaganza! 5) PhillyMINI convoy to Dragon Run Rally! 6) Jim Thorpe Rally! 7) PhillyMINI Caravan to MINIs on Top 2004! 8) The "ALL BMW" Rally through Bucks County! 9) PhillyMINI Caravan to Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (MINI Marque)! 10)PhillyMINI 2nd Annual Downtown Meet! 11)A Wicked MINI Haunting Rally! 12) Deck the MINIs THREE!!! And, all this before the year even begins!!!! Combine that with our Monthly MINI Monday Diner Drives (already booked through March!) and well, there's alot to plan for 2004! So, it is with these words that I believe I have out-posted Joe at Otto's, and I will close with some final thoughts! The few photos that I did capture (prior to the demise of my camera) are posted out on the following: www.clubphoto.com, the put in my full email address, and look for the Deck the MINIs album! I can't wait to see everyone else's photos! And finally, whatever you celebrate this time of the year, I wish everyone a joyous time, filled with love, laughter and Motoring! See you in 2004! Cheers. Scott Mid-Life Crisis never felt so good! |
