Be a part of our MINI trek of history, as we journey down backroads and visit some battlefields! Monocacy, John Brown, Antietam are on the route, along with a quick spin through Harpers Ferry and Sharpsburg where I'm sure we will quickly receive plenty of smiles, looks, and giggles! (If there is interest, we can continue after lunch and venture to Gettysburg and the outlet mall...)

We'll meet at and start from the FSK (Francis Scott Key - who else?) Mall in Frederick, MD - where I-70, I-270, 340, and 15 all conveniently meet. Meet and greet us at 9 at the parking lot between Hecht's and Value City - we'll depart at 9:30 to begin our historic, MINI introduction (infestation?) of the gullet of Maryland's panhandle!

Lunch details to be provided shortly... Please RSVP NLT October 7 to johndacrema@yahoo.com . We need a head count for the lunch stop

Aaron's told us all about this one!! Sounds like alot of fun!!! Do we get to "shoot over the Bonnet" at the enemies as we Motor though the battlefields???

I cancelled participation in a Cycle Rally to Motor Southwest to join you guys!!!

Looking for Philly-area Motorists to join in for the run!!! Anyone for a 7:00AM wake-up call, say meet near the Philly Airport????

Aaron has done most of the work on this. I am mostly just counting heads (you know doing the easy stuff). I have been on some of the roads in the past but have never put them all together like this. It shoud be a great drive. I look forward to seeing you.

What would Lee, Grant, Longstreet, Stuart, Jackson and Chamberlain say if they saw such a cute line of MINIs...

I'm envious beyond words, I hope this turns out to be a fine ride and ultimitely an anual event. We have our neighborhood Oktoberfest this same day, grrrr...we're both on the board so we sadly have to miss it.

Just finished reading the last of the trilogy of Killer Angels, The Last Full Measure

wow...have a fantastic time John, et al...I know you'll have fun talking about all the historical sites, etc.

Hmm to answer what Lee and the others might say.. Damn those Brits! We had to beat the snot out of them to get independence. They later returned to invade ours soils using the Fab 4 and now there doing it again with the blasted MINI's. But hey atleast they left us alone while we scobbled amongst ourselves!

We are meeting up with laughscott at the Del I-95 rest stop to caravan down to Frederick. If anyone else coming from the Philly direction wants to join us, we are leaving the rest stop at 7am.

I'll be riding along side Acetonic. You might know the drive-time. We're leaving the rest stop in Delaware on I-95 at 7:00AM sharp. What is the drive time from there to MD 32 on I-70?

Is there a convenient place for us to pull-off and meet you?
