Mini Meetup Day - March 6?

I've been checking out another site (http://minicooper.meetup.com/) on which I see March 6th at 1p is a meet up day... I don't want to pay to become a member of that site (oh-so cheap of me), but as a new Mini owner, do we get together on a monthly basis?

Waterside in Norfolk and Sonic in VB are places suggested to meet up. Is anyone attending this get together? Which one? Want to make our own?

I'm hip to going to a restaurant where we'll be able to ooh and ahh at each other's Minis - but one really can't do that at Waterside since there's only on street parking and garage parking available.

We have been doing a series of monthly get togethers for a meal in the DC area since December. Going pretty well.

However, the Hampton Roads people kind of like their anarchy - I think you will find its best to just start planning events and you will be pleasantly surprised that folks will just show up.

On March 5, 6, and 7 there will be a "pulley party" here in Richmond (Chester actually) as RandyBMC from the NAM board will be installing a number of smaller pulleys for people. There will be several MINIs there if you want to come!
