Mini Owners of NJ will be hosting a MINIS ONLY Track Day at Pocono Raceway's North Course. Special fee for MINI owners ONLY!!! If you are interested, you must register ASAP. Call PDA for more information at 973-253-3900.

I just spoke with Joe, the owner of PDA. As I had suspected, this will be a similar day to what we had at Lime Rock, ALMOST MINI's only.

Basically, if there are enough MINI's to fill a run group (20-25), it will be MINI's only out on the track during that run group. Though it's a bit of a quandry, as not all will be at the same skill level, though I suspect that most will not have had much track experience.

There are, however, some serious drivers among the Classic Mini owners, so who knows how the turnout will be. If it's anything like OcktCOOPERFest, there should be a decent turnout of both MINI's and Mini's!

The other benefit of doing this particular day with PDA is that the membership requirement will be waived, as will the extra fee for not being a member.

If you use the online application, put MINI OWNERS OF NEW JERSEY in the space where it says: Current PDA Event/Membership #. That will save you $25-$35.

Hi Y'all.. Its Craig.. Just confirming on here that I am going. Registration is going out end of week!

Any way we can confirm that they will have loaner helmets? I plan on buying one but not sure where to go get fitted and purchase around here. I will be doing some Auto X too so need one anyhow.. Can anyone assist with that?

They had a number of loaner helmets available last October. Call them to be sure at 973-253-3900.

Wish I could give you an idea about where to go and try on helmets, I ended up purchasing mine at a shop at Lime Rock.

Get your form in right away so we can have our session be ONLY MINIS and Minis!
We are both from the same area-ish and are enthusiasts so naturally we will end up at some of the same functions.. Glad you are going.. let me know if you want to follow each other up on Saturday..

ALSO: ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO STAY CLOSE TO THE TRACK??

I stayed at the Ramada I think, last year the night before the track day. I'm pretty sure the town is Long Pond, PA. Like to hear how you make out as I'll be getting a room the night before.

A friend recently stayed at the Comfort Inn, and would stay there again, plus it was well priced. Less than I paid at the Ramada last year.

What time does this event start? I would like to go but I think their is another event in my area the previous day, and it might take me a while to get up their since I live in Virginia :P

It starts early in the morning. Be at the track around 7:30am, driver's meeting usually 8 or 8:30am. I will stay overnight even though I only live a couple of hours from the track, I'd rather not drive up that morning.

If you just want to come and hang out, anytime is good! There is no cost to come and watch!
