Talking Operation Starbucks: Chesapeake Square Mall

I was invited via FindaMotoringBuddy.com to meet Saturday morning at 9am at Starbucks by Chesapeake Square Mall - I understand it to be near/behind Chilis. According to Starbuck's website the address is 2628 Taylor Road, Chesapeake.

I think we should get a list of all the area Starbucks and begin checking them off with the number of Mini Gatherings we seem to be doing at the stores!

Hope to see you tomorrow morning! Sounds like a few of us will then take a trek over to Checkered Flag to get a gander at the convertibles! Whoo hoo!

I actually MET the guy whose idea it was to go to Starbucks! He has a '79 orange MINI and it's cute! His wife has a newer Mini and hopefully they'll bring both!

Hope to see as many of you there as possible tomorrow!

So this isn't the same one we met at the last time? I'll have to let the others I invited know that.

Nope, sorry Sherry! I was going by what the guy posted over on FindaMotoringBuddy.com - he suggested the one in the Chesapeake Square Mall area - which may be a little closer to you coming over from Hampton if you take 664.

Yes, it's closer for me. I had told the CF guys to go to the one by Greenbriar Mall, but I just emailed directions to them.

Ah well, since I have duty tomorrow; I went and drove it today!

Not a big fan of the new 5 speed, but I wasn't one of the old one either (I *love* my 6spd though...)

Not nearly as windy as I was anticipating. Other than than, I would have a hard time telling a convertible from a hardtop with my eyes closed.

You can have my MINI when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

I loved it. Went for a test drive with Cade on Thursday, and put my MC up for sale today.

BartMack is a bad influence on me.

I'm still playing with colors, I think cool blue with a blue top and orange seats.

Fun morning! Looks like there were three new Minis to our club and CF's '05 Convertible was a HIT!

Had a Blast

Had a great time meeting ya'll today. So glad fate intervened and brought us all together.

OC (orange crate), Key Daniel and I look forward to getting together again.

It appears that Chesapeake Mall was viewed as pretty 'central' and convienent. Since I live yards from there is it safe to say that 664 @ Pughsville would be a happy place for a back yard BBQ?

Fall is great for such things.

My eyes.. My eyes.. April i thought you were going to Burn that shirt the Fuzzy one is wearing. j/k

Come to think of it April I've never seen your car with the stripe on it. Looks real good. and now I'm herein rumors of you may be selling one of the Rarest Mini's out there to get a convertible. Just say it isn't so. Unless of course i can borrow the convertible when i go down to VB for vacation. Then i might be able to over look it :cool

Until we meet on the road
Have fun, Be safe and Keep MOTOV8N
