well, i suppose if you hear a rumour enough, then its fact. well, here it is. I have not verified the information myself, but it is sounding legit.


Tate Mini of Annapolis is going to move to Millersville.



I can honestly say this really stinks. I used to be able to drop my car off real easy, now I have to hike to millersville!

Well, I just called mini and they said that the move hasn't been approved by BMW just yet. I asked if they had a projected time if they were to have it approved and he couldn't give me an answer.

I will actually be able to take 1tyb1ty's Mini in for service while I am at work if they move to Millersville. Annapolis was a little too far.

yeah, there is some discussion on northamericanmotoring.com about the same thing, and it looks like there is a some probability that it wont occur. how large or small that probablity is, we will have to see.

my issue with it, is that i take a dealerships location into account when i purchase a car.....this is especially true when considering the maintainence agreement. If I now have to hike all the way over to millersville to get service, then that 3year service agreement is pretty much a waste.

I wish I had known they were considering this when i purchased the car. I dont know if it would have prevented me from buying it, but it would have been something else to consider. .....right now, i drive by the dealership on rt50 almost everyday.

ugh. this is not a good thing from my perspective, and I am a little annoyed that this move is so drastic and so soon after purchase. If they were moving to other side of 50, or annapolis, ok, but up to millersville. arg. why dont they just expand the mini lot and shrink the chevy lot.....not like they sell many of those.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I would hate to drive out of my way for service. I am lucky that I pass Tischer Acura everyday to work. I agree that expanding the lot would be a win-win alternative from our perspective.

On the other hand there really is no "right" time to move for them.

Tate is an awesome dealership and worth the drive. 1tyb1ty will be coming from Tysons Corner to Tate because of the lack of customer service she has experienced at the other Mini dealerships closer to her.

We were out at Tate for our monthly breakfast this past Saturday. The move is not a done deal, it is something the owner's are looking into and apparently the proposed location is not very far away.
