Offline | I think we could easily get 20 people. I'm sure MINI people will come from all over the close states for a chance to race on Mid-Ohio. Think about it with 24 people, it's only like $312.50 per person. Maybe we could start a fund raiser for it .-Andrew |

| My mini is my casket | yea we could sell candybars!!!! We would have to have a serious setup, and some sort of race.. to "race" it would be tons of organization. I'm sure doing time trials would be the easy thing to do, but I don't think that would need the whole day. I like the school idea |

Offline | Ya, I agree, i think at this point the school would be a better idea. That way you'll know how to use the track day properly. And with the school you still get to take laps around the track. A few questions about the school though. First, how much stress will be put on our cars? will I have to repair the car or replace parts such as tires? I rather use my car instead of their RSX's because i want to learn exactly how my mini drives, but I'm a bit worried at the stress it will endure on the track. Secondly, I think it would be cool if we all took the class at once, a form of unity. Think this is a viable plan? Do you know if there is a minimum age limit for the classes by the way? -Andrew |

| My mini is my casket | how did the meet go last week? I found out the school cost quite a bit, and they have nothing open this year for us at Mid Ohio, but are talking about letting us have a meet on the grounds during the RunOffs there that happen late fall. (the championship). It's a long way off, but I think we can work something out. |

Offline | The meet went great, 12 minis showed up. It was cool to meet everyone. Hopeully next time you can make it. Surprisingly no 'S's showed up so you would've been the only one. That's too bad that the classes costs so much. I really want to learn the limits of my car on a safe and enclosed area. -Andrew |

Offline | Our next meet is going to be the Cleveland auto show. Another northern meet . Someone was talking about a columbus meet, but that is just an idea not an oganized thing yet. There's also been some talk about a meet at mid-ohio. I guess someone had the same thought as us . It would be easy if you want to set up an event for the area around you,I'm sure many of us are willing to come down. Or maybe we could meet halfway.-Andrew |

Offline | Hey everybody! Just wanted to let you all know...there will be an OHIO MINI Meet at the Quaker Steak and Lube restaurant in northern Columbus on Monday April 28th. Those of you who aren't familiar with Quaker Steak and Lube, check this link, www.quakersteakandlube.com , and find out a little more about them and their incredible wings. Famous around here for their "Bike Nights" and Classic Car meets, local MINI owners, in conjunction with Midwestern MINI, have set up a MINI night! Hopefully the weather will thaw by then, and it'll be a beautiful night to motor on out and show off your MINI to everyone there! For directions to Quaker Steak, check their website, and under the locations tab, click on "Columbus". For more information, you can contact Tony Burgess of the Morris Minor Registry of America at minornews@aol.com, or Greg Thompson of Midwestern MINI at gthompson@magcars.com. Drop us a line if you plan to attend...and lets make this a central Ohio tradition!
