Is the mid ohio track day or school still a possibility? I'm up for either,any day this spring or summer.

Romhog, I live in Florence KY. I'm not sure which meet you are talking about for a pre-meeting, but here's my plan as of now. I work in Frankfort, which is about 1 to 1.5 hours from Somerset. I will leave on the 25th, go to Somerset, stay the night there, and attend the meet Saturday 26th. As for Columbus on the 28th, I was wanting to go there early in the (either straight from Florence, or via Dayton), in order to help set up the event. I'll probably stay the night in Dayton, and motor back home Tuesday.

I can definently round up some support for a track day. With 24 as the limit, we may need two days.

In May before the Indy 500, there is a track day for visitors. They open the gates to all vehicles to cruise the oval under sanctioned speeds. Not sure on cost, but I think in the past entry was with donation or food drive. We could possibly make up a special charity event and even have the track to ourselves.

Not heard anyhting about the F1 track, but several right turns would be more fun than left turns. If we gather enough support, say 50+, I don't see a reason we couldn't be part of the F1 festival.

With the local MINI dealer and surrounding states' dealerships, support should not be a problem.

I am currently working with the folks at IMS regarding having a large number of Minis run the F1 course on June 15, the Formula 1 Fan Apprecitation Day event. I will post details on it Friday.
