Anyone else on here from the Grand Rapids area? I've seen a Chili Red/White and an Indi Blue/White and have had reports of a Dark Silver, BRG/White and Liquid Yellow around town. Who's who?

hi moola, i am in ada and have a indi blue and white S might have been me then, hehe. where abouts r u at?

a while back there was a red/white one running around but it was for sale privatly so it may have moved on by now.
in this area there is a BRG/white running around. also an S that belongs to a gentleman that has a rolls royce that he has been working on at a classic car shop i work at. i have also seen it at east grand rapids high school.
once i also saw a gold one and they are really new still and ever newer at the time so that was cool but i have never seen it since, i think a lady owns that one.
lastly there is a brg/w S again that belongs to mother of a kid that i row with. its also over here in ada.

theres not so many around, its still rare. only the other day did i see another mini in the other lane and waved at it. it was sliver and they waved back.

Hey Guru, I PM'd you a time or two - think I might have seen you once on the Beltline on a Saturday morning.

I live in Comstock Park, north of GR, but I see MINIs occasionally.

i could have been up that way. its kinda nice keeping it to only seeing minis occasionally because they dont become regular and run of the mill. usually i only see one other than mine once a week or less. i saw one yesterday tho but it was dark and couldnt see who or what it was.

i saw 3 other minis today. there was one S just like mine, blue with white stuff on fulton in ada. the other 2 were at barnes and nobles on 28th street. one was a blue cooper and the other was a white cooper. I spoke to the owner of the blue one because she left just as i was and was ready to get into my car because they are the same colors.

there are the 2 i always see also, one at radio shack in cascade (BRG) and then the one that belongs to Doug Kiniff at his office in Ada (also BRG)

thats 6 minis in one day including mine!!! this is an area where there is no dealership for atleast 3 hrs drive.

I was downtown a couple of days ago and saw one of the best minis i have ever seen. it was an electric blue S with black roof and dark tinted windows so the roof/windows didnt contrast. i waved but dont know if i was seen cause the windows were dark, windscreen and all.

i also found out that someone owns one just like mine, indi blue and white trim. might be indentical from what a buddy said. it is his neighbors car.

other than that i havent seen many at all recently, just the 2 BRG ones i always see

Saw a Solid Gold/Black yesterday heading north on Northland/Wolverine/Beltline, just where Plainfield intersects. Very sharp! Also on Friday saw my car's twin - BRG/W Cooper in a turnaround to head south on the Beltline by the Knapp's Corner Meijer.

i was working downtown yesterday and i spoke to a lady who has a pepper white cooper. she is always in the same parking lot but i never have seen her before until she was going to her car after work. i have also seen a good looking red/white s and possibly with rally lights scooting around. nice car who ever you are.

Saw an Electric Blue/White S with bonnet stripes Wednesday night at the Meijer C-Stop at Alpine & 7 Mile Rd.

Pepper White/Black heading south on the Beltline last Saturday afternoon, too.

Where do you owners of GR-based minis get them serviced? I'd give anything to purchase a mini, but only from a dealer somewhere in West Michigan. And there is none. Have you heard any rumors about a dealership being established here anytime soon? Thanks.

After returning from a trip to New England, where there are lots of MINIs about, I hadn't seen any in the area for a couple of weeks.
Today tho I spied a dark silver with black roof on Plymouth south of Burton (young lady driving) and another in the construction zone of downtown EGR - dark blue w/ white top. Sorry if my color names are bad! I was just introduced to the MINI at my brother's unfortunate memorial service.
Seems like he was quite the Miniac, and quite well liked in the community.

Sorry to hear about his passing.

I will be moving back to Toledo, OH in about a month. I know there aren't many MINIs up there, and look forward to the experience. Being in Jax, where there is a dealership, there are lots of them around, but not as many as you would think.

Hopefully I can make it up to Grand Rapids sometime. If anyone comes by Toledo anytime after the first of October, be sure to drop me a line.
