Conclusive proof!!!!

This is a right hand drive car (if you can't see the wheel, check the windscreen wipers) and they've left the rear suicide door on the "pavement" side for a left hand drive car If they couldn't be bothered to give us a RHD bonnet release for RHD cars, I very much doubted that they would swap the rear door to the correct side for RHD.

Will it stay that way for production? The UK press will have a field day if it does....

Tigger.

(great find by the way Minifritz )

Is there something that identifies this Clubman as a diesel? It's funny that in the first picture you can see the driver pointing a camera back at the photographer.

The larger grille at the bottom of the bumper identifies it as a diesel. Bear in mind that it's RHD, so that's the passenger who's taking the picture.

This is one of the main reasons I would never consider one (that and my lack of faith in the 2nd Gen MINI in General).

Amazing, but true, there will only be one suicide rear door! I think they misunderstood what was meant by a 5 door estate

At this stage I think it looks a mess. Will reserve full judgement until the full details and official images etc are released.

I take Goonery's point, but feel that the style has been badly compromised by trying to carry over too much of the substructure of the R50 (especially the bulkhead) and share too many pressings with the 3 door (especially the standard length front doors). It must have been very frustrating for the designers involved.

Check the pictures of the concept car from a year or so ago and see what I mean.

Even so, it's good to see the range expanding again.

Tigger.

Just to re-iterate an earlier question, how do you know it is a Diesel?? There are no apparent markings on the Car?

in addition you can see it at the powerdome on the bonnet. The bonnet of the petrol Cooper is more flat

Surely they'll change the way it looks before launch!?

I don't like what BMW are doing with the MINI now, and I wish I didn't care so much about this damn car
