Those Clubman look like final production models. Look real close and you probably see a couple of new Clubman "Exclusive" colors like Hot Chocolate Metallic.

The rear barn doors and tailights are still covered in camouflage trim.

I have to say that while the R56 has been a huge turn off for me from the perspective of design, the R55 looks infinitely better (At least from the rear and sides) in comparison to the R56 coupe. I guess the longer wheelbase, taller windows/roof line and more squared off back end really go a long way in helping with the visual deficiencies of the R56 hatches.

Anyone here going to Zandvoort this weekend? Have your cameras ready if you do. It is going to get interesting...

The colour is not that bad really! But that suicide door on the drivers side and the strange side window arrangement on the passenger side still seems really odd.

I still think MINI has made a monumental mistake by:

Not offering a rear door in the RHD models...

And....

Not offering dual rear doors.

The bit about still having to fold the front seat forward to gain access to the back is a little disconcerting IMO.

I'm an R56 owner and the Clubman shares one of the weakest points (imho) of this car - the bonnet.

It just looks too, well, flat!

I reckon 1st gens are much better in this area. The bonnet of the R56/Clubman needs to be a bit more sculpted, with perhaps a fake power bulge in the middle. The S improves this a bit with the air scoop. I also think bonnet stripes break up the plainness of the bonnet top too and that's why I spec'd them on mine.

Otherwise I could see myself being interested in a Clubman someday!

I really like it. The brown is pretty good too. Will reserve final judgement until I see it in the flesh.

I agree actually, although I was told well in advance they would not. I think it's nice when they do things for the followers, like the last MINI United when the GP was revealed.

They could point out that the new JCW was previewed at Zandvoort. Maybe a GP version for MU 2009? Or a much-delayed Cabrio...

Wasn't really a preview though was it, we'd all seen it. The GP was a genuine "preview".

What is that other color that does not look like Hot Chocolate? Reminds me of the gone but not forgotten Velvet Red Metallic from way back when.

Anyone has any insights on the Clubman color palette?

Nightfire looks splendid, too. I saw some earlier pics and under the lights it loked more like red/orange metallic??
