Great pictures!

So it looks like the rear windows do not open then.....?

Probably not, unless it's an option.

I have to say I really like this car, even from these very first pictures. The silver roof and rear panels all look really cool and ultra original, very true to the character of the MINI brand. Would love to have one of these in my driveway.

Another minor detail - I can't see any sign of a high-level brake light.....?

I wonder how it will look with roof rails? And good to see the revised tail-pipe layout - this will make it easier to add a tow-bar!

It wouldn't surprise me if the long high level brake light never made it past the accountants and I'd expect it to be stuck to one of the rear windows, van style. Also missing from the concept car are the rear doors that open around the tail lamps, though (again) that's no surprise

As an upside (tail lamps aside) it's a good looking estate car and the extra bulk of the rear end matches the front of the R56 very well, makeing it much better balanced car. It would look even better with the rear "pillars" colour matched to the black of glass and the blue of the bodywork. I've tried it with PhotoShop and it works!

PS: Has anyone else noticed that BMW are using a Citroen C5 as a camera car? Now, there's an admission of defeat on ride quality for a camera platform if I ever I saw one (Check the reflection in the tailgate of picture number 3!)

These are the first photos of the Clubman which I've seen which I actually do like.

Looking forward to seeing these on the roads now.

That's very eagle-eyed - I would never have noticed that!

It's probably an agency they are using for the filming, and hence it's no surprise to see a Citroen - the ultra-smooth fluid ride makes it a very suitable car for such things....

And yes, I agree, the rear light clusters look incredibly boring...

(I wonder if a silver roof might make it's way onto the options for the R56?)

Looks to me like its a long LED strip at edge of the roof lip.

Great shots ... liking what I see.

Yep, posted that in another thread. Hope it's blindingly as bright as it looks like it might be. Revenge on 4x4s and their dazzling headlights.

Interesting it's not badged as Clubman, not that you can see anyway, just Cooper S.

It won't be ... its been mentioned on other forums before that Clubman will be used only in Marketing materials, but it will have the usual designations otherwise.

haha ... would be great if they would have built the rear fogs into it somehow. but it looks like those will be under the taillights ...

I realise that, I just wondered if there'd be a little badge somewhere on the exterior, maybe like the "Works" badging in nature. That could have been another nice touch maybe.
