Offline | Oh, you mean the Traveller? I was just reading the post about the Clubman pricing and it says: "And speaking of Clubman models the question has been asked recently, how will MINI name this new variation? Again based on multiple sources, MINI (worldwide) will be using the same naming convention as seen on the convertible models. That means there will be no mention of the “Clubman” on the car itself, only in the literature and on the web. Like the Convertible models, the Clubman models will simply be designated by “One”, “Cooper”, “Cooper D”, “Cooper S”. This gets around the pesky problem of a really long name (i.e. “MINI Cooper S Clubman”) on the boot. On the downside it allows the “Clubman” name a little less opportunity to become widely known. " My point is if the car itself is not going to have "Clubman" badging then why is there any problem with what the name of it will be. As far as I'm concerned when I buy my MINI "Clubman" it will be my MINI TRAVELLER and is enough people refer to them as Travellers then that is what they will be. ![]() If you know how many MINIs you have you don't have enough ... |

| Almost There... | Ladies & Gentlemen, I think we have a winner for 'most ridiculous post of the year'! ![]() I don't like the name 'Banana' so, as it isn't actually written anywhere on Bananas, I've decided I'm going to call them Travellers, and if enough people refer to them as Travellers then that is what they will be. ![]() So, here is a bunch of Travellers: ![]() Of course, if the makers of Bana...sorry Travellers were to make them with a square front they would then be Clubmans. ![]() |

Offline | You've got a point there, the name "Clubman" is such a rubbish choice and we don't have to be saddled with it! "Traveller" it is then ![]() ![]() May 08: Thanks to all of my friends on Mini2 for a lot of great times over the last 4 years. In future I can always be contacted here! |
