How will you accessorize your Clubman?

When I saw all the Traveller concepts a couple of year ago, it excited me about the Clubman. The Clubman could add another dimension to customizing your MINI. As a triathlete and backpacker, I can not wait to make my own version of the Clubman, in the spirit of the Frankfurt, Detroit and Tokyo cars.

I certainly have an exterior and maybe an interior bike rack. Since I leave events and activities with wet and sweaty clothes, wetsuits and backpacks, I will probably have a lot of rubber floor covers and will not have a leather interior. If space permits, I may modify the interior to allow for internal transport of my bikes.

In the end, it will probably be a combination of an old school rally car and a Tour de France support vehicle.

How are you going to accessorize your Clubman?

Mini Clubman Blinded Windows

I am not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere on the forum yet but does anyone know if there is going to be a version of the Clubman that is more suitable for company use? I.e. with blinded side windows or sidepanels instead of windows???

well, yes but preferably not glass but the steel pannelling like a van.

it would suit my business and I could more easily but some nice logo and advertising on the side -- all stylish of course :-)

would be cool. not sure if the would do steel panels.

I know Mitsubushi do their 4Work commercials, as a friend of mine had the shogun. it has no read seats and some diferent interior trim. but the glass is still in place, and openable on the rear doors. it just has an opaque black tint on it.

You can do that with glass anyway using a vinyl wrap I am sure MiniPirate has some ideas already.

Yes, the point is that I'd rather not have the glass, hence my question...

I'm planning on blacking out the windows with Contravision - the material we use for sunroof decals - then either putting it on the inside to it's just black viewed from outside - or put on the outside with a graphic on.

Lots of ideas bubbling away

Yes, blacked out windows is a must. Just have to talk the wife into a gominigo logo imbedded into them....doubt I will win that battle!

I think blacked rear windows will work well as the "Club Door" glass looks sort of "chopped off", as the front half is like the other panels, the rear just "ends". (If you see what I mean).

yeah, I was thinking a black on black Clubman with blacked out windows would look VERY nice. But then an image of a hearst came to mind, so maybe not.

Certainly the new clubman opens up a lot of possibilities, commercial use, perhaps a 2 seat car with telescopic loading system for the rear, the more the space the more it will be utilised, post office van? reps car?,not only can you buy a set of alloys you can fit them in the car!!

I actually think it would look good if you got the rear panels matching the bodywork, the "glass" plastic rear panel being black (as on the hatch). Basically so you still have the "float" effect of the hatch version.
