I can see the logic here, if since the Cabrio was launched you've basically been staring at two types of cars all day, every day, it must be nice to get something completely different to work with/on.

I thought about that, but then compared to any other normal car there must be an infinite number of permutations of MINI's coming down the line. I'm not sure how another body shape is really going to raise morale ??

Surely they get to laugh at lunch about the people that ordered laser blue, with a wood dash, and red carpet etc? Maybe they've been seeing some Pooper Clubmans going down the line and that's what has cheered them up so much

Still a stupid decision

The Clubman maybe raising moral but for the RH market the rear door road side is an accident waiting to happen

I see your point, but is it an accident waiting to happen each time the driver exits the car too (assuming not in a car park, of course)?

Accident waiting to happen

At least the driver has the off side door mirror and will be more aware than passengers normally are.

I've also reconciled it that it will really only be our kids in the back, and they don't need a extra door to get out. They can scamper out the passenger side. Physical exercise does them good!

Even if you use the club door you still have to move the seat, so it might as well be the curb side passenger door.

The big thing with the clubman is they will have that extra bit of legroom and boot space which is all the MINI needs IMHO to be a great kid carrier.

But you can't get out unless the driver is out, ergo probably being gentleman and holding the door for the rear passengers anyway.
