Imagine my surprise. I haven't logged on mini2 much over the last few months, and I didn't know the Clubman was even being released this year.................

But then this evening (6pm to be precise) I saw a Maroon coloured Clubman coming towards me in Portsmouth. The first thing I noticed is that the height of the roof (top of windows to top of roof) is much greater, and when passing the car it certainly seems longer. From behind, the car had a two tone effect with black/dark graphite around the rear light clusters (and the rest in red). The guy seemed to be in a hurry so I knew I couldn't turn around, follow and get a shot.

It looked as though the car was a finished product, although the separate black around the rear lights made it look as though it was a concept car with tape around it.

Spotted in Portsmouth and I missed it! Bugger!

Cool! I know that a show R56 MINI stopped off in Portsmouth before being shipped off to the paris motorshow last year. I've got to keep my eyes pealed. And in my fav colour of Nightfire red too!

Talking of NFR I saw my first one today. WOW!!! Its stunning!! Lucky owner whos got a NFR/B Cooper with Bridge spokes in or just north of Peterborough (along with a MY and PW Coopers) I can't wait to see an R55 in the flesh. Will not be missing the launch of this one

the Yellow R56 stopped at Southampton BMW to get something sorted before it went to Barcelona for the launch.

i saw it, that's why i went for the R56 :]

I saw one today too!!! I couldn't believe it! It was near The Fort in Birmingham, it was pepper white with a black roof. It was going the other direction and I could only just see it across the central reservation so couldn't get a piccy or anything. Looked cool!

My sales manager got up close to one on the way home last week it was at the BP garage in Blackpool getting fuel. it had tape to disguise the rear bits... the driver worked at Oxford plant!!

we have full spec and colour samples arrived today of the clubman exclusive Hot Chocolate!!

Gotcha!

Saw a Pepper White Clubman with Black roof and rear pillars on the Painshill roundabout in Cobham this morning. Looked like a Cooper. Looked ok - not sure about the orange indicator lamps though as I'm a fan of white lenses. Could belong to Coopers of Cobham - Cobham is big Mini selling territory so I expect to see loads of Clubmans around here.

A couple of evenings back just outside Brize Norton west of Oxford heading up to the A40. Thought it was a weird looking MINI from the front then I clicked as to what it was when I looked in my rear view. Was a fleeting look but not sure what to make of it...

Will have to wait til I see one close up in the flesh.

Were getting "given" them for test drives at the moment, but have to promise not to visit too public places and the tape must remain on over the badges so people dont guess its a clubman......durrrrr
