U.S. MINI Clubman Launch Date

My local dealer here in upstate New York told me today that the MINI Clubman will be launched in the U.S. on February 16th 2008.
He said that I will be able to place an order early January for delivery on the launch day.

Yes, thanks for this news - it's funny how I always hear things first on MINI2 as opposed to from my dealer.

We at the dealership level hear so little from MINI regarding actual date/times, etc. We get most of our information from outside sources like MINI2, NAM, and Roadfly. We were told the configurator for online build in the US will be live sometime in mid November for you build your own types. We'll have pricing then too. Our training on the Clubman will be early to mid February, with our staff rotating out to a sunny location in the West. It's still kind of classified at this point. My guess is a place where gambling happens 24/7.

Thank you Scott, I've heard this before - the part about hearing it via this site or another first - no slight intended towards my beloved Motoring Advisor and friends.

My Motoring Advisor from my dealership here in New York State tells me that Clubman Order Taking will start in December 2007 so that I can get mine delivered on the Launch Date on Feb 16th 2008.
