Offline | Well it won't be me. I specced up a diesel Clubman with similar options to that on my petrol One and it came to £18K. Bought a Honda Accord instead for less. Not many of these cars around here so there is a bit of exclusivity but well pleased with it anyway. morrisminiminor |

| Waiting patiently for R57 | Just back from the dealer launch here in Luxembourg. Once again, Garage Arnold Kontz excelled themselves - music, drinkies, food, more drinkies, several Clubmans, and a MINI Challenge car too. So, now I've finally seen the car in the metal, and sat in it, and played with all the bits........I am not going to order one. Sorry, but for me, no matter how well it drives (I probably won't even bother to have a test drive), there are too many compromises for the money asked. I did not appreciate the restricted rear visibility (and I drive a Cabrio!) and the Club door with the seat-belt boobytrap was just plain daft. I'm sure that the designers are geniuses, and inevitably earn a great deal more than I do, but I just don't get it. And I especially don't understand why the launch of my new Cabrio has been delayed thanks to the Clubman ![]() ![]() So there we go, glad I got that off my chest. Ian |

| Waiting patiently for R57 | I forgot to add - I did ask the dealer how many firm orders for the Clubman he has (beairng in mind he had a lot of pre-orders for the R56 at launch), and he was quite cagey. I think he sad that there was a lot of curiosity, and potential buyers intended to wait until they saw it in the metal before committing. He also indicated a delivery delay of about 3 months, so I guess there is already quite a number on order...? Ian |

Offline | hi everyone Hi to all you Mini folks, we're new to this fantastic site and just thought we'd say hello and tell you a little about the mini we've ordered. We visited our dealer 2 weeks ago just to browse, had a chat with a salesman, and came away with a clubman brochure with a view to purchasing one in about 6 months. Went back last week and like impatient kids in a sweet shop we ordered one , without seeing one 'in the steel' Old and wise as we are, we went for the diesel option, but we're still young at heart, so we're getting a MELLOW YELLOW clubman, with black roof and mirrors, bonnet stripes,16'' bridge alloys, chilli pack, climate, etc etc told by the salesman that as we had one of their first four slots, we could expect delivery in early december, but he called yesterday to say that there was a delay, due to a shortage of diesel engines! has any one else heard of this?? couldnt make it to the launch party, as we were on our wayback from Rome, but guess what was the first thing we saw when we got out of the railway termini?? you guessed it, a red/silver clubman cooper s!! spent a good 15 mins drooling over it,will post photos when i know how!! cant wait till we get ours, but till then, we can dream....... ![]() |

Offline | ![]() Can't believe how long the wait is, but it didn't stop us ordering one to replace our 3 year old MC CR/W. Spec is good, but the price was quite a surprise...over £20k ![]() Still the test drive convinced us that it is worth it ![]() So we've put our order in for: MINI Clubman Cooper D, Chili Red and Silver Silver Bonnet Stripes CHILI Pack 17" Pace Alloys Two Rear Seats option Panoramic Glass Sunroof Interior Trim Brushed Alloy Bi-Xenon Headlights HiFi Speaker System White Indicator Lenses Colour Line Rooster Red Multi-func. Steering Whl Should be great when it finally arrives...for now we have to make do with the Clubman mugs the dealer gave us! ![]() Roll on 2008! M ![]() |
