Clubman Insurance

Had a few quotes online for the Cooper Clubman to see what I need to budget for its coming up around 4 to 5 Hundred pounds so far.
It is funny seeing it come back as a 5 door Mini estate though on insurance systems.
Handy thing is you put Mini, Petrol and doors 5 and there are only two choices makes finding the right model easier.

They were quite reasonable for me too. I have a really bad postcode so I always suffer at renewal time.

I went with Mini Insurance, Better deal and benefits, cheaper than the Direct Line quote and all the others I got too.

Darren

So far for me A-Plan quoted me on a Cooper S and then stated that they couldn't quote me properly until December!

So, with Mini Insurance - is that done through the dealer then? Would be interested to see what they quoted. Sorry if this seems a bit on the thick side

Also got the 7 days free insurance via Mini Insurance.

Advantage of that is they email the cert to the dealer so they can tax the car fast.

All the places I spoke to had the Clubman down on there books.
Within 1 hour of getting the Reg, they also knew all about the car etc.

Ah! So as soon as I get the Reg I will definitely give them a call.

I've just arranged for Direct Line to transfer cover from our Jazz onto the fully-specced but otherwise standard Clubman D we're getting for £61.95 from January to May and to renew then for a year at £380 so I'm happy with that..

This is on a full-replacement basis for 12 months and I'll probably top that up with gap insurance when it reverts to market value then. Cover is for four named drivers, all over-30s with max NCBs and clean licences and for a car that will always be kept overnight in a secure garage.

I did a quote yesterday for the Cooper S (not Clubman since they can't quote on that yet) to get a rough idea. With my 43% discount it's £1100. When we bought the first Cooper in 04 I'd not transfered my UK driving history so had to pay £2000. Ouch.

British Columbia has a single source for auto insurance sadly.

Hi, we got a qoute from Mini after the 7 days complementry cover, and was shocked it came back as £376 fully comp,( i know but i am tight always trying to save a quid) so i told them i had just been qouted £214 from Saga and they would not match it, so guess what i went for the Saga qoute which included the legal and personal injury, plus everything mini were offering, so i saved £162 just by going online.(confused.com)
I took the shortfall out with mini though, as i thought it was well worth the money at only £349 for three years cover, so if i have a accident within three years and write the car off i can go back to the dealers and walk away with another brand new mini
I cant quite believe the money we are going to save by being mini clubman D owners roughly about a £1000 in three years with tax and insurance only
just shows it pays to shop around best regards Andy
