Offline | I'm anxious to hear if she fits too as I have a 141 pound Doberman, Henry the VIII, plus two large Greyhounds. I bought the car for their vet visits--good excuse, eh? ![]() |

Offline | Wow! Your Henry is a big boy! Heidi is 136lb so smallish when you consider the breed! but an enormous furry backside I reckoned on her going in through the suicide door. She might be able to get through the back but head height might be an issue. You have two of my favourite breeds there Cloud10! As you can guess I like large breeds! Did you get an update on your Clubman from the dealer? |

Offline | Yes, my MA called me on Dec. 7th and told me it was time to order. As it was after 6 p.m. I didn't expect that. He emailed all the forms to fill out, but he already had my specs. I didn't make anyone's dinner until after I filled out all the forms and faxed them back. The dogs were hungry, but I told them it was for their own good as it was to be their car (sure). It is still in the order status on the Owner's Lounge, but I still have hopes that it will be here for the Feb. 15th launch or shortly after. They kept their word as I was no. 1 in line. I wish they would at least throw in some mats, but I don't have any expectations. They told me it wasn't high end enough for any break ($30,000+) I was going to get the protective film for the bonnet until I found out it would cost $900+ to install it. I guess we will get that done by an outside source. Love your big girl, but I can't have so much fur with my asthma. All my guys are easy to groom, a wet towel would do it. Would love to see a photo of her in the Clubman! I'm hoping Henry will be able to get in on his own. Hard to lift that boy. ![]() |

Offline | As you can imagine Heidi isn't exactly low maintenance with all her fur! I would love it if I could just groom her with a wet towel. Fortunately, she isn't too drooly but that was one of the reasons for getting lounge leather as it will be easier to clean....... I'll get a picture of her in it. But only after I've got new seat protectors She just loves going out in the car but then she has tendancies to be very lazy. I swear she only walks as a favour for me having excercise! |

Offline | We are also #1 in the list at our local dealer. Clubman S should go into production in a couple of weeks for a mid-February delivery. I keep checking the Owner's lounge for daily updates... |

Offline | Henry is not very active either, not even 3 yet, but so laid back. He tries to run with the Greyhounds, but when he realizes he can't keep up he lies in wait for them on their circuit. He is madly in love with Mai Tai, the girl, and she with him. I have seen her look back on a run and then go over to him and nuzzle and play with him when he can't keep up. I have flat dog beds, dog blankets (from Costco) all ready for Clubby when he arrives. It is the glass that will take the real "licking" ![]() Did you ever think of saving Heidi's fur and weaving it into fabric? There are several bear makers in the States that do that and then make teddies from them. Interesting. I can't say I have one in my collection, but interesting. I wish MINI made a divider to go behind the front seat to keep the dogs back. Somtimes Captain Morgan decides the front is the place to be. I bought one for our Suburban but couldn't make it stay up. I also found a harness that is attached to a line between the two doors that is supposed to be for the MINI and BMWs, but I'm not sure if that will work either. Maybe I'll just have to end up taking them in the Nissan Titan truck.... They do love that big back area and it is too deep to jump over (except for my sister's Australian Terrier who can leap to anywhere ). |

Offline | Hi Cloud!! I had thought about getting Heidi's fir spun in to yarn (I am a closet knitter ) - there is certainly loads of it coming out all the time! It would be really warm and probably waterproof too!Heidi is pretty agile when she wants to be so I think she will be OK. I asked at the showroom whether MINI sell seat protectors but they don't which is a real shame because I was hoping that they would. So it will be a case of going shopping for those at the weekend or tomorrow lunch time. I have a couple of blankets too that will be lovely for her to lay on. Failing that I'll just have to knit something. ![]() I'll mail you through your profile if that's OK with H pictures in the car. I'm sure the forum aren't that interested in seeing her in there although it may help others with their giant and large breeds. |

Offline | I would appreciate the photos. I went down to my MINI dealer yesterday to look over the MCSs to really see the leather, etc. that I selected. It was good to actually sit in one again (my 3rd time to sit in one, with only one short test drive a year ago). I wish I could take them all home with me. I brought the MA 6 dozen Christmas cookies i baked for him and some Belgian chocolates. I thought they would appreciate them, but they didn't seem to. I'm overwhelmed with editing right now through January and if I had thought they didn't care I wouldn't have bothered. I have little free time and should have napped instead. I'll look forward to the photos. Better get some sleep. |

Offline | It's more than I expect to see from them. Not a lot of spirit there. I've said I think I could really do well as a MINI salesperson as I have more enthusiasm than they seem to. Oh well, the grass is always greener.... I'll be happy just to see the car. Hopefully it won't have the problems some of them seem to. They're 110 miles away and I can't run down there for a lot of problems. ![]() |
