Loving everything about it. Thought I'd miss the full leather of my previous s, but the cloth/leather looks so good in hot choc, along with the piano black and cream white interior. By the way, if anyone is thinking of speccing the PIANO BLACK, check out the SMALLPRINT in the spec pages of the brochure, it clearly states that piano black is standard.with other certain seats. I raised this with my dealer and got it for free!!!
Any problems so far?
Well the cooper the dealer leant me while I waited an additional month for my car ( anyone else experienced this) had a handy display on start up showing whether the kids were wearing their belts, and this isn't on my clubman, waiting for reply from dealer, will keep you posted...
Photos may follow if I can, but for now here is the spec:
Clubman cooper s
hot choc
black roof and c pillar
chilli pack
pace spokes
hot choc cloth leather and interior
cream white colour line
interior chrome

nothing else, nothing needed.

Nice spec - am really liking Hot Choc on the Clubman - probs my second fave combo to PW/B, and think the pace spoke alloys are the best choice on the new new MINI. Shame they aren't available on the hatch, but nice to have some Clubman exclusive stuff

Saw a absolutely lovely Hot chocolate clubman today! Silver roof and silver viper stripes with chequered wing mirrors on the road today (similar to the one in the first post actually (no chequered roof though)). Gave the driver a little toot and a thumbs up while they were queueing to get into Gosport and I got a wave back! Hi if you're on here!

Another one here...

I've called my car Errol. If you can work out the link, high five me for the 80s. Anyway, I love mine. I'll take some photo's but it's essentially brown, with the full leather trim, chrome, etc. Silver roof and a silver backside. It's easier with pics so I'll do that later in the week when I'm free.

BTW, we love both of the hot chocolate interiors, but having a golden retriever, cloth seats are a fur magnet, and the nice club leather might get scratched too easily, so we went with the charcoal leatherette. It's still quite a nice interior material... much better than we expected for a "man-made leather".

Germany Clubman in Brown is super

HI all,

we just got our Mini Cooper Clubman yesterday in Mocca/Chocolate Metallic brown with the silver roof, mirror and lines on the hood/bonnet. It looks great. It looks much better than on pictures. We had a yellow Cooper with white roof before, which we also found quite nice. A bit more sporty. The brown Clubman makes it look a bit more "Grown up" and very stylish. With the combination of brown Lounge seats and brown trim on gear lever and handbrake, I find it can be compared to many larger and more expensive luxury cars. The brown is so much more alive than the normal grey plastics. We also considered the cream colored leather and plastics, but with our dog, scratch marks and dirt would show too quickly.

The car itself runs smoother and more like a BMW 1 or even 3 series. Just the handling I find is much better and the engine is more lively. BUT the engin is also a bit rough for a 1600 petrol engine. I find our old Mini Cooper engine noise was not so intrusive. The gear shifting is smoother and the absorption of bumps on the road is much better. I must rather also agree with other buyers that some of the plastics look cheap. Unless you upgrade like we did, but you pay for every little thing. At the end we are glad we did upgrade as we feel it justifies paying €30 000 for such a small luxuary car. I feel they could at least inprove the final details like plastics and edges for basic models. Especially the middle console where the radio and airflow controls are, seems to be made of very cheap looking plastics.

Overall it is still a unique/timeless car and has lots of safety standards other small cars do not have. And of course it is FUN to drive. So as long as there is a demand, suckers like us will pay for it!

Keep well
Kobus

Wales New Hot Choc on order

HI. I've got mine on order now for about the end of April/beginning of May. I had to reign back on the extras but couldn't resist getting the steering wheel, gear stick and handbrake in Hot Chocolate leather to match the seats. I think the black roof looks better on it then the silver. I was tempted to get the sport stripes in silver down the middle, but at £380 I think that's excessive for stripes. It'll probably look better without. looking forward to picking it up.

Well it's arrived and how cool it looks as well! I've not had time to set up all the bells and whistles with it but I can recommend getting the dealer fit hot chocolate leather steering wheel, handbrake and gear gaiters rather then the standard black. It really finishes off the interior. The towbar is pretty cool as well. You'd never know it has one and the bar is kept under the load space in the boot. I'm really quite excited about it. Not as pokey as my Fabia vRS was but then again you don't get a cooper D for the speed. Very responsive around corners - you point in a direction and it goes!

Sounds good, I'm driving a 1.8s Nissan Primera at the moment, so the Clubman is going to be a huge change... Cant wait.... :-)

Yep it's got the tinted rear windows which just look awesome with the black roof. To be honest I'm working quite long hours at the moment so I'm too knackered to really enjoy it at the moment, but in a few weeks.... It's really responsive - slightly twitch the steering wheel and it goes in that direction. A bit disconcerting to start with but great fun on A and B roads! I think the current side scuttles look naff (the white indicators look the biz though). I'm not big on check, but I think check side scuttles will be subtle but cool.

No pictures yet but maybe in a couple of weeks when I get a day off.

In terms of the interior I don't think the plastics look particularly cheap. It drives smoothly with no annoying squeaks or rattles at the moment, so I'd say it's well put together (should be for a BMW and the price really). The creamline interior and piano black look nice. I did consider the wood trim but too much brown and not the same shade either. It looked good with the creamline interior on the mini configurator though.
