Offline | The deed is done...Changed our order from Cooper Clubman to a Cooper S Clubman At the end of November we placed an order for a new HC/S Cooper Clubman. However, this weekend after my wife, baby and I spent some fun quality time aboard my '05 R53 S, we changed our minds and "Upgraded" our order to a like specced Cooper S Clubman and pay the US$2,250 difference from the original Cooper Clubman order. We think the Cooper S Clubman is a much better value than the Cooper Clubman, at least here in the US market. Our Cooper Clubman, as specced, was US$23,700 and the Cooper S Clubman we just ordered was US$26,200. Well worth the difference IMHO. It is a basic spec: Hot Chocolate/Silver roof Cooper S Clubman 16" Bridge spoke wheels MFSW rear fog light Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel paddles Gotham Grey door cards Black/grey leatherette sports seats iPod Adaptor Checkered dash/door trim. The car should be either a late December/early January build and be here by the February 16th, 2008 US launch of the Clubman! Its going to be a long wait for sure![]() We have the #1 production slot at the dealer, so we will be the first ever "Custom order" customers to take delivery of a new Clubman. |

Offline | I think it will. It will be interesting to say the least ![]() As much as I like the 2 Hot Chocolate interiors offered in the US market (Cloth/leather and full lounge leather) I am not sure I want to spend another extra $1K-$2K for leather seats. |

Offline | Yes we have it good here Still we are paying $3.49 per gallon of 93 octane gas here but that is peanuts compared to what you guys pay over there in the UK. Filling up my R53 S (13.2 gallon tank) with 93 octane, costs me around $42.There are TONS of British tourists (And Europeans) here in Florida as we speak. The strong GPB and Euro are making coming to America a very cheap proposition. Sadly for us, visiting Europe right now is extremely expensive (Haven't visited since 2001) |

Offline | Wow...it must be that extra 2 octane that we get over in the UK that pushes the fuel price up to £5 a gallon...and there was me thinking it was all going in Mr Browns back pocket! Still, i cant ever imagine filling my MINI up and it costing about £24! I can dream i suppose. |

Offline | The UK pays the highest price for fuel anywhere, AFAIK, due to our tax and duty regime so don't let Mr B off the hook. US AKI octane numbers convert approximately to UK and European RON numbers by multiplying by 0.95 so 98 Octane (RON) is the same as 93 Octane (AKI). David |

Offline | The sticker in the fuel tank door says Minimum 91 Octane.(US version) I don't know where to buy 91 Octane in Texas. They sell 87, 89 & 93. 93 finally passed the $4 per gallon mark here. |

Offline | Well, when you're down half a tank - add the 89 octane in. I believe that most gas stations mix their fuels to obtain 91 for sure - at least that's what the owner of a gas station/repair shop in our town told me. Filled her up today for the first time - here in one of NYC's suburbs for $4.23 a gallon 91 octane. That is a lower price than many of the others in our neck of the woods.
