Clubman S Insurance

Called Direct Line to get our insurance changed as our clubman will be ready on Friday, they said as the cars value over £20,000 they need proof that it has an Immobiliser fitted or it will not be insured for theft , but the policy is fully com.
As its factory fitted dont know if we will get anything confirming this but the insurance company will except a fax from BMW on headed paper.

I had this with churchill, when I got my jcw couple of years ago. The fact it was listed in the brochure wasn't good enough !!! so my dealer wrote a letter on headed note paper to say that '' the mini cooper s '' came with a thatcham class whatever...... They then said that wasn't good enough as the letter didn't state my regisatration no *****!. So I wasn't covered for theft . I rang e-sure who said it was obvious to them that it had an immobiliser and could cover me straight away. AND THEY WERE CHEAPER TOO !.

Challenge churchill- more like FEK OFF CHURCHILL......

but i'm not bitter about it

Insurance came through on Saturday with wrong vehicle on it ,cooper s not a clubman so rang Direct Line and changed it and it seems that maybe they didn't have the clubman on there datbase at the time, as now we dont need confirmation of the Immobiliser.

I wrote to Mini Uk and asked them for confirmation and they sent it through the post, they were very quick in replying cant ask for more. Maybe to get my name right but they did apologise after I told them my name wasn't Mr Day. lol
