Thank you. I went in to the dealer to buy a 2005 MCS, which proves you should never walk into a showroom! Great car though. Rubbish stereo sound is the only disappointment.

Was this the standard speakers or the upgrade?

LOVELY! Love the colour combo but I guess I'm slightly biased to that!

Congrats!

The upgraded system, it really is a shame becuase it would make the car complete. It is so bad I took it back to the dealer the very next morning as I was convinced the speakers were blown but apparently not - although I'm not sure I believe them. £320 is a bit of a joke for something which is so poor.

I did a quick search round the forums and this system doesn't exactly get universal thumbs up - shame.

Ah boo! I ordered the upgrade too . I get mine on Wednesday so will definitely look out (or rather listen out) for that, or rather get my OH to do this as he has a better ear than I do.

We ordered the standard CD Boost stereo. Probably the sound sucks too.

I find the standard audio setup in the Clubman perfectly acceptable its got good clarity and so long as you dont want to listen to ASBO music it does the job. Its a sight better then the 05 models standard offering that wouldnt play anything that wasnt brand new.

I'm saving for the audio upgrade (amongst other things ) from Mikey at NewMINIStuff.com for my Dooper...the standard setup is fine and does the job I suppose, but I fancy myself as a bit of a audiophile and so wanna upgrade. Plus my Dooper's starting to squeak and rattle again and I've heard only good things about Mikey are his magic hands... :P

Nice Clubman btw...loving the colour scheme!!

Yeah thats understandable I have never been able to justify spending so much on car audio.
Guess its a legacy of the old Mini Classic tape decks, anythings better attitude Mikeys upgrade does look awesome though.
I do have a rather excellent home separates system though big ol floor standing speakers and all that

I forgot to say I was all set for colour and saw a DS Clubman I was so glad its S only or mine would have cost even more.

How are your settings?

Try turning the bass down to 0 and moving the fader to the rear by about 5.

I have the hifi upgrade in my Cooper and think it is great. It seems it does not get on well with really bass heavy music, but then that is not hifi either

Cooper Clubman White Black Black .
Pepper Pack,
Hetaed Seats,
Chrome Mirrors,
Sport Button,
Tinted Windows,
White Indicators.

I have Had two very basic S's over the last 4 years so I love all the knick Knacks that come with the Pepper Pack. I priced up to what an S would have cost me R53 price as the R56 is too expensive and added a few "touches" to make it even more special. Its cost me nothing extra in repayments but is saving me heaps on Tax, Insurance and Fuel.
