My Clubman will have to go back to the dealer after Christmas, they cant fit in in before.

The switch for the heated front screen doesn't switch on or off properly. Have to hold it down to go on and then it takes ages and same turning it off.

Mike,

Only a minor problem and how often do you use it once a day. Ours was built in week 47

How are you enjoying your clubman ? I love it but not spotted any others on the road yet cant wait to flash and wave. lol

Switch & Wiper Problems

Have managed at long last to get Mini to look at my car, they were so busy this was the first available slot. On the switch problem they are going to change it, so its on order and the next available slot is 18th Feb because we need a hire car and they only have 1
They dont know what to do about the wipes out of syn so they are contacting Mini so we have to wait and see.

Hi Sue,

Remember, you can take your MINI to any MINI dealer for warranty work.

Seems really strange they only have one courtesy car!

Red/Black R56 Cooper Stripes, CHILLI, ASC+T, MINI HiFi, Piano Black Dash, Red Colour Line, Heated Mirrors/Jets, Spare Wheel, Smoker Pack!
Mods - Cooper S pedals, Cheqered interior mirror, chrome side repeaters

On mine, the silver metal strips below the glass on the rear doors seem to be pitting, and have rust coloured spots on them if I don't wash it for a week. This happened when they had gritted the roads a week or so ago!

Took mine in thursday for the drivers seat tip mechanism not working. Also found a piece of missing trim on the passenger side door. I urge all to check they have this black rubber seal strip fitted, it was on the drivers door, but not the passengers.
Had it in the nexy day (Friday- Yesterday) All sorted.

Not sure what the Mini delaers are like elsewhere but first class up here. They ordered the parts Thursday, there Friday, fitted and sorted. Even gave it a great wash!

MINI don't fit this on the car anymore, it was introduced as part of cost cutting on the R56 - I noticed this and read the above here on MINI2, which my dealer confirmed! Glad yours is all OK!

Can't believe they would cut this small rubber strip off to cut costs. The door looked unfinished with the mounting holes visible
Sounds more like the dealer was trying to get out of having to fit the missing part!

Ill look at all the other R56's in the dealership next time I bob in.

Does anyone else have the strip? missing the strip?

missing the strip on ours too. Doesn't seem to make any difference though!!

while i'm on the subject of door trims, has anybody else noticed the chrome/black trim at the bottom of the window on the clubdoor slides backwards and forwards about half an inch??

Apart from that, after nearly one month and 1600 miles later, I'm pleased to say there are no other problems.

Clubbin' it and Lovin' it

Never noticed that Fella, runs off to the garage to check................Nope, mine doesn't do that! Just the chrome strips at the bottom of the van doors windows seem to have spots of rust on them!
