after jezzas comment in the Times and on Top Gear tonight, I'd like to know your opinion of him.

is he a top motoring presenter with a vast knowledge of cars.

or a curly haired overweight winker(misprint)

Loud mouthed, opinionated, entertaining, funny, occasionally offensive, but never affraid to speak his mind, even if it may not be what the manufacturer (or even the viewer) may want to hear.

He has brought a certain amount of fresh air to journalism, which used to be so heavily influenced by manufactuers and sponsors. Even if he is often wrong, at least he's fearless!

PS: Even though a lot of people love to hate him, he's brought a much wider audience to what was originally an obscure (but very worthy) back-water motoring programme on BBC2. Heck, even Eeyore watches it now and she even laughs and smiles at the jokes when she thinks I can't see her!

PPS: Sorry, that answer doesn't fit into either of the options above. I'm somewhere between the two, so I haven't voted. Howabout a "somewhere between the two" option?!

we live in a democracy and we are all entitled to our own opinion

clarkson has the advantage that he is on a very popular national tv program, also please note that hammon and may agreed with him and yet there are no hammond or may basjing threads

he is without a doubt offensive but in this politcally correct nampy pampy make sure everyone is happy society that we have to live in it is refreshing that someone is willing to say what they think

Sorry, but Top Gear is right.

The Clubman is ugly.

Drove behind a red and silver one yesterday, looked positively awful.

Don't get all offended - just my opinion.

I'm neither a fan or a hater........ some things he says are imo over the line, but other things are just downright funny. Haven't seen tonights Top Gear, so cant comment.

Hes in that group of love hate you should hate them for the things they do or say but cant help liking them a bit its a Snoop Dogg Boris johnson kind of thing.
I would certainly never take his opinion on cars though he just talks nonsense and hes overstepped the mark with the charity thing in the times (especialy the Ak47 comment)

I like to watch Top Gear, but always take what he says about cars with a BIG pinch of salt. He never manages to give a truly balanced review.

However, I totally agree with the flaws (rear view, door on the wrong side) he points out about the Clubman. I wrote the same thing on MINI2 myself

Just my opinion of course, not meaning to offend anyone

But he's got an R56 S and raved about the R50\53s for years in multiple reviews.

Clarkson straight forward guy which this country needs, I don't agree with all he says but good to get away from being PC.
