Offline | My Clubman I dont quite believe it but I have had my Clubman for 3 weeks now and have yet to post a single picture. I have managed to drop the words My Clubman into many threads but I feel it deserves a bit more attention. As the fourth "New MINI" to enter our household it had a tough act to follow. Blue... Gone but not forgotten was a plain flavoured Cooper S no bells or whistles but it went like stink. It also had the honour of bringing home a tiny bundle from The Royal Oldham hospital this year so strong emotional attatchments. So heres the new Clubman photographed today dont see what all the fuss is about just looks like a MINI...from the front. My nieghbuor said it looks a bit like a hearse she does have a point good job its not black ![]() So far the Clubman has breezed through Christmas were normally driving home (for Christmas lal lal la etc) with stuff all over the place with James taking valuable packing space the extra boot space was great. The seats are up by the way and speaking of James heres a picture of his new throne hes surveying the extra legroom this ones for you prospective owners ![]() and finally.... tight car park space no way to get in the passenger side (some use the extra door would be on that side!) just try this in a three door window down clubdoor open baby in sorted ![]() |

Offline | Nice one Shaun. ,it looks fab![]() hope you're enjoying your new addittion Cant believe you took the photo of the georgeous young James from the right hand side of the car . Dont you know how dangerous that can be . especially in the confines of your own garage .surely it would have been safer taking it from the other side ,(just kidding everyone-no need to revert to that old chestnut!!!) Clubbin' it and Lovin' it |

Offline | Shaun, Excellent pictures and I wish you well with your Clubman! You have made an great point about the clubdoor - in tight parking spaces the driver always has to have enough space to get out even if the passenger doors are unusable. This means that the clubdoor is on the correct side for the U.K. and it is on the wrong side for the U.S. ![]() If you know how many MINIs you have you don't have enough ... Offline | Original MINI or Mini? ![]() Its just as much fun as all the other Minis I have had. I was thinking today the Clubman to me is the equivalant of the launch of the MINI it really is that special. I had been driving classics for 10 years and come to a point were I thought in reality they are a bit rubbish. The late models were 10 grand new and had 40 years worth of problems unbuilt I just couldn't face another one. I have had MINIs for 5 years and to be honest I was looking elsewhere the R56 was not really for me i am not a Turbo fan and besides the S was too expensive. The Cooper was ok but I wanted something different and perhaps a bit more practical. Problem is I hate most modern cars, really I do the ones I like I cant afford. Also dealing with a few franchised garages for our fleet at work has put me right off a few brands. So Clubman it was, as the old advert says "Above all its a MINI" ![]() |

Offline | The pictures are great Shaun - it's amazing what you can stack in to the back really isn't it? Obviously I think you have chosen the best colour combo lol - it's cool isn't it? I've had a lot of good comments about the PW/B |

Offline | Shaun - great pics of a lovely car being put to good use. ![]() Good to see someone else with the baby seat in the back on driver's side - this is how we have our daughter in our current MC so my wife (who doesn't drive before I get flamed for being sexist! ) can look after/tend to her when she kicks off of on the motorway . It is this that people are missing IMHO when they say the Clubdoor is on the wrong side for the UK; I am getting my daughter out on the drivers side ALREADY, without the benefit of a Clubdoor. So really my current MINI is putting my daughter at more risk than it will in the new MCCD. (And of course this is all important as I never remember to check to see if there's any traffic coming before opening my door and getting the car seat out into the road ![]() ![]() )Only problem is Shaun - you've got yours and now I can't wait for mine to arrive! ![]() ![]() ![]() Congrats and ENJOY!
