| ukmini***** | Well I had my Passenger door seal fitted, i know all the guys at the Dealership and no one said 'its standard to be missing'. I haven;t had chance to go check out the cars in the showroom, but may do tomorrow. For a small piece of rubber trim, I would think its been a **** up in the production line rather than cost cutting. Who knows though. It sounds more like a dealer saying it is cost cutting so they don't have to fit the missing part. Shall find out more. Also re JCW kit, shame no side skirts. ![]() |

Offline | Are rubber seals and rattles on RHD models only? Has anyone thought about that fact that the rubber seal may be only missing on RHD models? I also wonder if the rattle is only on RHD models as all th threads i've read so far are from UK owners. It may well be to do with the manufacturing process of the RHD dash. Comments anyone? I am still awaiting my Clubman and it;ll be LHD but it'll be the first thing i check ![]() Last edited by westendboy : Mar 4th, 2008 at 06:03 PM. Reason: Spelling mistake |

Offline | No Passenger Door Seal I just took delivery of my new Clubman. After reading the posts here I looked when I got it home: sure enough there is no passenger side door seal. I meant to check out all the others in the showroom but clean forgot whilst there. Question is: can anyone report having a Clubman that DOES have this seal? |

Offline | Hi there from a Spain! I am missing the seal at the drivers door LHD (which is your passengers door RHD) ... i.e. there is only one seal and it is at the club side. |

Offline | I can confirm having a seal at least. Produced late January. My biggest concern though is having a 5 seat car delivered, and by law it can only be registered as a 4 seater. Most ****** thing about it is I ordered it as a 4 seater, but the dealer somehow screwed up the order. Well, well.... ![]() |

Offline | Seal?? Checked mine today (delivered Monday) and the seal is missing on the passenger side as per other comments. Based upon what people have said I phoned dealer to advise them I want it put on, but they stated that the system shows it to "not be required on the passenger side, but I can buy one for £7 + VAT"!!. So according to my dealer the Clubman should definately not have one. Strange. I mentioned if rust could be caused due to the lack of seal and assured this would not occur. Might just get that in writing!! If anyone got one free from the dealer please let us know who they are so we can mention it to our sand hopefully get them to change their minds about the charge. Don't you love dealer consistancy! |

Offline | Missing LH Door Seal I phoned my dealer to tell them the passenger door seal was missing. They promised to order one up for me and fit it (no mention of a charge, which I would refuse to pay anyway when I have just spent £16000+ with them). Obviously they had not heard about the seal being deleted from current production, and not read these posts! Is it just the Clubman that is not being fitted with the seal? |

( i'm not brave enought to be the first to push for it from them !)Personally i wouldn't have noticed it if people hadn't mentioned it. No noise or water comes from that side.! Offline | Hi guys, 500 miles on my Clubman S and loving it. Only issue so far is a very annoying metalic metal on metal sort of squeek from the rear end, audible in the car at all speeds. Seems to be caused by flexing (so changed in camber of road or bumps on one side not the other). I've tried making sure the rear seats are locked in properly and nothing is lose in the boot, but to no avail. Before a trip to the dealers, anyone got any ideas? |

Offline | Hi Matt My Clubman had a squeak coming from the rear too. I got my 15 year old son to sit in the back while I test drove it and we soon noticed the noise disappeared when he sat in the o/s/r seat. on closer inspection, the noise comes from where the seat back sits against the body. I dont think its the seat catch, as i lubed that. Got rid of sqeak by putting small piece of card between seat back and body(temp repair til I can find time to take it to Mini!!) Hope this helps ![]() Clubbin' it and Lovin' it |
