Thought I would contribute.......this is my Cooper D Clubman, born on the 25th July 2008.

I have had it for a few weeks now and absolutely love the car, its good to be different.

I have completed 1300 miles in 2 weeks and I am amazed by the fuel consumption (70% motorway) as I am currently averaging 65mpg over the last 500 or so miles!

Your PW/BLK looks wonderful. I've always been fond of Pepper White - and I love the looks of the Cooper Clubman. You are very fortunate to have the Dooper, indeed! Congratulations!

Iain - with that roof, it will look like mine used to look like. (See page 5 of this thread). Very classy! Put some pics up as soon as you get it

Hi LH0121, 65 mpg is really good, especially for a new engine! I do the same commute all the time (up and down the M11) so have had the opportunity to try out all sorts of things. Driving exactly at the speed limit all the way (on 17" wheels) I get 62mpg. If I drive at the same speed as most people then I get about 56-58mpg. I've never had it below 50mpg!

Funnily enough, the urban figures are about the same: 50-60mpg. The highest I have ever had for a journey was at a steady 50mph, on a dual carriageway. That got me 74mpg.

Oh, and yes all these figures are from the on-board computer but I checked them by measuring mpg between fill ups at the pub and it matches.

Same as here. i've been tinkering with my trip to work each day on the A1.

I find that i get 64mpg if i don't think about consumption keeping between 68 and 73mph (with occasional bit of fun) and 67mpg if i stick rigidly to this range. I've tried the cruise control on 69mph and seems to be the same (give or take a couple of tenths).

sounds like you 've got a slight(?) fliud leak somewhere, probably a brake pipe union not fully tight??
have you taken it back to the dealer to get it checked out?? if not, do so asap in case it fails completely shoud be easy to find!

Clubbin' it and Lovin' it

Where can one purchase the viper stripes with pinstripe. Does it come in a reverse package? Looks killer!!! Do you have the dealer put them on, or is it Do-It-Yourself? Curious about cost as well!
